Liverpool had to settle for a point against Manchester City, but it was honors all around at Anfield. Despite dominating the second half, the Reds may be left wondering what could have been.

After John Stones gave City the lead in the first half, Liverpool eventually earned a point through a penalty kick by Alexis Mac Allister. Nonetheless, the Reds had numerous chances to win all three, with Luis Díaz in particular missing some excellent ones.

Liverpool won’t play in the Premier League again until March 31 after the City match. This week, before the international break, the Reds’ focus shifts to the FA Cup and Europa League.

When the Reds get back to Anfield at the end of the month, they’ll take on one of the front-runners to replace Jürgen Klopp: Brighton. The next match is at home against Sheffield United, and then it’s off to Old Trafford to play Manchester United.

The following weekend, Liverpool returns to Anfield to play Crystal Palace before traveling to London to play Fulham. The FA Cup semifinals are where the game will be played if the Reds advance.

Brighton (H), Sheffield United (H), Manchester United (A), Crystal Palace (H), and Fulham (A) are Liverpool’s next five Premier League games.

For City, there is still a big match in the race for the top spot. Pep Guardiola’s team will play Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium after returning from the international break. This match will be extremely important at the top.

Before heading to Crystal Palace, there’s another challenging test against Aston Villa. After that, Luton travels to Manchester. An away match against Tottenham, who have been something of a nightmare team under Guardiola’s leadership, is slated for April 20, though it may also be rescheduled should City advance to the FA Cup semifinals.
