Cole Palmer tipped to make outrageous transfer to Premier League side as ‘watch this space’ claim made

A former Premier League player believes Cole Palmer will make a surprise move to another English club on one condition.

Chelsea ended their three-game losing streak on Tuesday with a comfortable 4-0 victory over bottom-of-the-table Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

Despite the big win, star player Palmer failed to score again, making it seven games without a goal or assist, the worst run of his Chelsea career.

Despite Palmer’s poor form, a former Premier League player has suggested he could be transferred to one of Chelsea’s main rivals this summer.

After joining from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, Palmer established himself as one of England’s best players, winning the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year and Premier League Young Player of the Year awards in his first season in London.

However, former Manchester United player Wes Brown has suggested that the 22-year-old may consider leaving Chelsea in the summer, but only if Liverpool star Mohamed Salah leaves the club as a free agent.

Brown told CasinoBeats, “Where will he go to become a top player and a top man? Liverpool?

“Liverpool could be an option if Mo Salah leaves, so that is something they should consider. So keep an eye on this space if Mo Salah leaves.

“If Mo Salah leaves, there is no reason why it cannot happen. Otherwise, what makes him want to leave Chelsea?”

Brown also mentioned other clubs that Palmer could consider joining if he decides to leave Stamford Bridge.

“Okay, maybe Man United, he said he’s a Man United fan, but he won’t go there because he’s a City man,” Brown went on:

“Aside from that, he will not go to Arsenal because Bukayo Saka is there. I genuinely believe that Liverpool is the only club that could tempt him, and even then, they would have to let Salah leave first.”

As it stands, Liverpool have yet to agree on a new contract with Salah, despite his current contract expiring in the summer, leaving fans concerned that they will lose their star player after what could be his best season at the club.
