‘Bring him off’ – Jamie Carragher slams Man Utd man ’embarrassed’ by Crystal Palace

In the first half of their match against Manchester United, Crystal Palace dominated.

Michael Olise, a forward for Crystal Palace, gave the Manchester United defense a scare on Monday night when he opened the score in the Premier League match at Selhurst Park.

The Red Devils defense yielded and invited the 22-year-old to run at the backline, so he didn’t need a second invitation. Olise duly fulfilled his obligation before coolly finishing from the edge of the box, his shot’s accuracy guaranteeing that a little wobble didn’t stop him from scoring his eighth premier league goal of the year.

The legendary player from Liverpool, Carragher, took aim at Manchester United midfielder Casemiro during halftime in an interview with Sky Sports. The move that resulted in the goal started with a feeble challenge from the seasoned Brazilian on Olise.

“He’s playing out of position tonight,” Carragher remarked. Being out of position has no bearing on this. That position might be holding midfield. It is awkward to say that. They must take him off.

“There is nothing worse than seeing Casemiro start for Manchester United at center back in the second half. Wan-Bissaka should be positioned in the center, and a full-back should be added.”

Ashley Young, a current player for Everton and a former Manchester United player, joined Carragher in the studio to offer commentary on the match. The Red Devils’ defense was criticized by the full-back as well.

“As for this now, it’s chaotic,” he remarked. I’m not sure what Casemiro is thinking; perhaps he believes Olise will regress. Olise simply strolls by him after spotting that he’s going to try to challenge him. It’s very simple. It’s very simple.”

Harry Maguire is not playing for Manchester United in defense this evening. Erik ten Hag will have to use midfielder Casemiro in an unusual position as the center-back is expected to miss three weeks of action due to a muscle injury sustained during training. Additionally hurt are Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, and Raphael Varane.
