Regarding Jurgen Klopp’s altercation with Mohamed Salah during Liverpool’s draw with West Ham United, Jamie Carragher has shared his opinions.

After their 2-2 draw with the Hammers, it appears that the Merseysiders’ tenuous title hopes are over. Although their season’s collapse has been widely discussed, fans were horrified to witness Salah and Klopp engage in a brief altercation on the sidelines.

The Egyptian was benched by Klopp for the match in east London, but he was substituted for Luis Diaz in the 79th minute. Carragher shared his thoughts on social media following the game.

The legend from Liverpool stated: “The only reason a manager would be unhappy in this situation, is the player took too long to be ready to come on.”

Following the game, Klopp declined to provide further details about his interactions with Salah. “We spoke already in the dressing room,” he replied when questioned about the incident. That’s done for me.”

Liverpool’s hopes of bringing Klopp’s tenure to an end with a second Premier League title were virtually dashed by the draw. They are one point behind Manchester City in second place and two behind Arsenal in first.

But while City has played two fewer games than Liverpool, the Gunners have a game in hand over the Merseysiders. While City travels to relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest, Arsenal plays its bitterest rival, Tottenham Hotspur, in a North London derby.

“I’m not in the mood to talk about that to be honest or look at that at all,” Klopp responded when asked if he thought Liverpool was now out of the title race.

“We knew that we needed to win here, and we didn’t. As a result, we now have a little more time before the next game. We will return after we attempt to get the boys ready once more.”
