Breaking News: Eddie Hearn names the pound-for-pound superstar who he thinks will vacate his world title

Naoya Inoue showcased his prowess earlier this month by successfully defending his super-bantamweight world titles with a commanding victory over Ye Joon Kim.

The South Korean accepted the bout on short notice, although his endeavours were unavailing as he was decisively halted in the fourth round.

The outcome indicates 26 stoppages from 29 victories, but who will be the next opponent for the powerful superstar from Japan?

A probable alternative is a confrontation with MJ Akhmadaliev, since the Uzbek boxer is keen to challenge Inoue.

Featherweight represents another viable option for Inoue, since several prominent competitors possess world titles at 126 pounds.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Akhmadaliev, has persistently advocated for a match against Inoue; yet, he lacks confidence that the fight will materialise.

Naoya Inoue is deliberately avoiding Akhmadaliev. He has been commanded to confront him on two occasions. “He has engaged in two trivial bouts rather than competing against Akhmadaliev,” stated Hearn during an interview with talkSPORT.

“On Monday, the WBA will communicate with Naoya Inoue, stating, ‘Sufficient is sufficient.’ You must contend with Akhmadaliev, or you will forfeit your WBA championship and cease to be undisputed. View this immediately. Naoya Inoue will relinquish his WBA world title.
