BREAKING: Liverpool on the Brink of Losing Three Star Players Amidst Ownership Criticism.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah are nearing the expiration of their contracts, with their prospects at Liverpool still uncertain. As they approach the concluding six months of their contracts, no new agreements have been established, resulting in ambiguity over their status at the club.

Speculation around Trent Alexander-Arnold’s potential transfer to Real Madrid has intensified, as reports have emerged linking him to the club. Madrid purportedly initiated contact with the right-back before to the opening of the transfer market, which Liverpool promptly declined. Recent sources indicate that Madrid is willing to propose £20 million for the acquisition of Alexander-Arnold this month instead of postponing until summer.

Although it is improbable that Liverpool will permit any pivotal players to exit during a title contest, there exists a potential for Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, and Salah to leave as free agents in the coming months.

The Contract Saga of Salah

Mohamed Salah has been the most outspoken on his ambiguous future. He recently acknowledged that negotiations regarding his contract with Liverpool have stagnated, indicating there has been “no progress.” Notwithstanding his exceptional performance this season—netting 21 goals and delivering 17 assists—uncertainties persist regarding his future at the club.

Former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink condemned Liverpool’s management of Salah’s contract, proposing that they should release him. “As Liverpool’s owner, I would permit Salah to depart due to his age,” stated Hasselbaink. “He is approaching 33 years of age and seeks a three-year contract; however, this request is difficult to substantiate, particularly given his salary demands.”

Hasselbaink contended that Liverpool made a mistake by permitting Salah’s contract to progress to this point. “This is the fault of Liverpool,” he stated. “This issue should have been resolved earlier.”

Recent reports suggest that Salah may be nearing a two-year extension agreement; but, outstanding issues, including his image rights, have hindered progress. There remains optimism that an agreement will be attained, which would substantially enhance Liverpool’s long-term objectives.

Manager Prioritises Team Above Speculation

In light of the persistent conjecture, Liverpool manager Arne Slot underscored that his attention is directed towards the team’s performance rather than external distractions. “Should any issues arise for the players, they will communicate with me,” Slot stated. “Currently, our emphasis is on enhancing our performance, rather than concerning ourselves with external commentary.”

Given the uncertainties over the futures of three crucial players, Liverpool must promptly secure their contracts to avoid the possibility of losing them on free transfers.
