BREAKING: “Agreement reached” – Fabrizio Romano issues crucial update on Arsenal target

Since manager Mikel Arteta is eager to give his team greater depth, Arsenal has been searching for an attacking addition.

In order to continue competing for the Premier League title this season, the club has been obliged to look at attacking options in the market due to the injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.

Even though they are having a hard time catching up to Liverpool, they are hoping that an attacker would help them in the closing games of the season.

Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa was the target of a transfer made by the Gunners, but Unai Emery’s team quickly turned it down.

A transfer to the North London club is unlikely anytime soon, despite their interest in Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha, who was apparently eager to join them at the Emirates Stadium.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Cunha has turned down Arsenal’s offer to sign a new contract with Wolves.

The attacker and Wolves have reached an agreement on a new deal that will run through 2029.

Since joining Wolves from Atletico Madrid, Cunha has emerged as the team’s top player.

Arsenal was prepared to make a play for him after being impressed by his ability to score goals and connect with teammates.

What next for Arsenal who want to sign a new attacker?

The Gunners would not be able to recruit Cunha until the summer transfer window because he has already signed a new contract with Wolves.

Cunha has had an extremely successful individual season, scoring 11 goals and dishing out four assists in 23 Premier League games for a failing Wolves team.

Several attackers have been linked to the Gunners in an attempt to address their offensive problems.

Mikel Arteta would need to look for another option in the market because Watkins and Cunha would both be staying at their clubs.

They need someone who can contend with Kai Havertz for a starting position.

The Gunners’ ideal objective would be Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, but he now appears to be beyond of reach.
