Former Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister believes that a possible leak may have caused Jurgen Klopp to announce his resignation earlier than planned.
The football world was shocked to learn last week that the Reds’ manager would be leaving the role at the end of the season. Klopp explained his decision by saying that although he was running low on energy, he would be fine for the remainder of the season.
The shocking announcement made by Klopp has left Liverpool fans feeling sad as they adjust to the German coach’s departure. Although some people think the announcement’s timing is strange, McAllister offers an explanation for the German’s decision to make it last week.

“Jurgen Klopp’s announcement rocked the football world,” he said during an appearance on the William Hill and Footy Accumulators podcast, No Tippy Tappy Football. I was as surprised as everyone else when my phone started to flood with headlines and messages; I had thought it was a wind-up.
