Arsenal

Arsenal received a concerning injury update as Gabriel Martinelli was observed using crutches after the victory against Brentford.

Arsenal triumphed with a 2-1 victory against Brentford at Emirates Stadium on Saturday and will now redirect their focus to the next Champions League match against FC Porto on Tuesday.

In the first-leg of the round of 16 games, they were defeated by the Portuguese with a score of 1-0. They are now eager to reverse the outcome and secure a spot in the quarter-finals.

Arsenal might have to proceed without Gabriel Martinelli, after the Brazilian was excluded from the matchday squad against the Bees due to his failure to recuperate from the injury he suffered against Sheffield United on Monday.

As reported by Football London, the offensive midfielder of the Gunners was observed wearing a protective boot and using crutches to walk at the Emirates Stadium, heading towards the dressing room after the game tonight.

The damage appears to be severe, and it is reasonable to conclude that Tuesday will be too soon for the 22-year-old to recover.

Arsenal has confirmed today that Martinelli will not play against Brentford due to a foot injury he received at Sheffield United. He was assisted off the pitch by two Arsenal physiotherapists at Bramall Lane.
