Ryan One has had a flying start at Lincoln City, averaging a goal every 42 minutes in his five League One games so far.
The 19-year-old Sheffield United loanee has only made one start in the third tier since moving to the LNER Stadium, but that hasn’t stopped him from finding the net on a regular basis, scoring three times and contributing to a Lincoln frontline that has scored at least four goals in three of the last five games.
One is highly regarded at Bramall Lane, having broken into the side briefly last season, and the 19-year-old is demonstrating evident Championship quality while with the League One title contenders.
If he continues in this vein of form and becomes a driving force in Lincoln’s promotion and possibly title push, nothing should prevent him from becoming a regular fixture in the Sheffield United fold more frequently next season, especially if Chris Wilder’s side fails to make the play-offs this year.
Sheffield United fan pundit supports Ryan. One will play more games at Bramall Lane next season.

Ultimately, the highly saturated striker position at Bramall Lane worked against One this season, as the acquisitions of Patrick Bamford and Danny Ings, along with Tyrese Campbell and Tom Cannon, made it extremely difficult for the 19-year-old to receive consistent game time.
Jimmy, a Sheffield United fan who hosts the Blades Ramble podcast, believes One will be Bamford’s understudy next season due to Cannon and Campbell’s underwhelming seasons and Ings’ contract expiration.
“We’ve recently discussed the future of Sheffield United’s forward line,” he explained. If Patrick Bamford remains fit, he will probably lead the line. Ryan One should also be included in the squad.I believe Danny Ings will depart, and Campbell and Cannon haven’t performed as well as we had hoped this season, so One’s name is right in the mix.”
One has started one game as a right-winger for Lincoln, scoring in a 4-0 win over Northampton Town. His versatility may help him break into the Blades squad next season, even though Jimmy prefers him as a striker. He has been playing on the right side, which could be a possibility for us to create competition for Andre Brooks, who has had a great season. Many believe he will be a center-forward, and who better to study from than Patrick Bamford?I’m definitely looking forward to his future.
Ryan One would be the ideal backup plan if Sheffield United were to sell this summer.

If Sheffield United do not earn promotion this season, they will enter the next Championship season without any Premier League parachute payments for the first time since their original promotion in 2019.
Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion have recently had to work cautiously when it comes to balancing the books due to a lack of additional revenue.
If the Blades are forced to sell some of their assets or spend less freely than they would like, One would be an excellent choice to integrate into the squad more frequently next season.
He’s already performing well for a team at the top of League One, and at only 19 years old, the dynamic Scot might be an upgrade on some of players who may be forced to leave Bramall Lane this summer.
Jimmy and the rest of the Sheffield United crowd have been heartened by his early efforts in Lincolnshire, and it’s no secret that they hope to see him more in a Blades shirt in the coming seasons.
