Derby County go north to face Sheffield United on Saturday, but might this be John Eustace’s last game as manager?
The Rams have struggled in the Championship, winning only one of their 11 league games thus far, but a merciless injury list has wreaked havoc on the Pride Park playing team.
Nonetheless, Eustace has yet to elicit a response from the remaining healthy County players, and if he does not find a win soon, the writing may be on the wall for his future.
Derby County have to face an in-form Sheffield United side this weekend.

Sheffield United may only be 11th in the Championship, but Chris Wilder’s squad is gaining confidence following a poor start to the season.
The Blades drew all three of their initial league games, and after losing four, United have won two of their last three.
And they’ll fancy their chances against an out-of-form Derby team, whose injury list isn’t exactly improving, with a number of long-term absentees in the treatment room, many of whom are on the defensive end, which has resulted in 20 goals conceded – the fourth-most in the division.
Derby County fans send a warning ahead of the Sheffield United trip.

Despite Derby’s current poor run, their fans will be in large numbers in the Steel City on Saturday for the 12:30pm kick-off, having sold out their allocation, which is generally just under 3,000 in the bottom tier of the Bramall Lane Stand.
It’s unsurprising given the small 45-mile distance between the two cities, but Derby fans making the journey have now been warned about the conditions inside the stadium.
Part of the Bramall Lane Stand’s roof has been removed due to ongoing renovation, and it may come at the worst possible time, with a yellow weather warning for wind in effect from 12pm Saturday until the evening.
That means Derby fans could be in for a rocky ride while watching the game, and they should be prepared for some inclement weather – the club recommends wearing a waterproof jacket if feasible.
A defeat to Sheffield United might create an uncomfortable climate for John Eustace.

Even though he has publicly stated his support for Derby owner David Clowes, you get the impression that if the club loses against Sheffield United this weekend, the crowd will not be as enthusiastic.
County haven’t won since September 1, when they overcame Portsmouth at Fratton Park, and injuries are taking their toll.
It’s debatable how much of this is Eustace’s responsibility due to training methods and the like, but considering the Rams’ push for the play-offs last season, being in an early season relegation battle was not part of the plan.
If the supporters witness another defeat, especially given the horrible weather conditions that are expected, Eustace may need to brace himself for the worst when the match ends and his head is called for.
