The top 7 highest-paid West Bromwich Albion players for the 2026/27 season have been revealed.

West Brom will want to turn things around next season under James Morrison.

The Baggies narrowly averted relegation to League One, finishing 21st in the Championship table, four points above the relegation zone.

Morrison helped Albion avoid relegation, which led to his being the permanent head coach.

He will now prepare his team for the upcoming season, in which the club hopes to climb the ranks thanks to some of the high wages they are expected to pay out.

Here, we utilise Capology’s estimated figures to rank the top seven players in the West Brom side based on their earnings:

Callum Styles – £17,500 per week.

Callum Styles was a key member of the first-team squad last season, appearing in 45 Championship games, including 41 starts.

And the 26-year-old is the team’s sixth best paid member, earning £17,500 per week after signing a new four-year contract with the club last month.

Alfie Gilchrist – £20,000 per week.

Alfie Gilchrist made only 13 appearances for West Brom last season, including eight starts, after a difficult first season in the Championship.

He will be looking for more in 2026/27 under Morrison, as will the club, considering his present weekly salary of £20,000.

Jayson Molumby – £20,000 per week.

Jayson Molumby has been a consistent presence for West Brom throughout his career, and he continued to do so in 2025/26, making 38 appearances in 46 league games.

The midfielder contributed two goals and two assists for the Baggies, earning £20,000 per week.

Alex Mowatt – £22,500 per week

Alex Mowatt was a regular at West Brom last season, making 39 games as the Midlands club narrowly avoided relegation.

The 31-year-old had a rocky start to life at the Hawthorns, but has established himself as a key member of the squad, earning a weekly wage of £22,500.

Krystian Bielik – £25,000 per week.

Krystian Bielik joined in the 2025 summer transfer window after leaving Birmingham City, however he only appeared 17 times for the Baggies in the Championship.

However, the experienced 28-year-old signed a three-year contract that runs until June 2028 and pays £25,000 a week, making him the team’s third-best player currently.

Chris Mepham earns £35,000 every week.

Chris Mepham is another signing from the 2025 summer transfer window, albeit the 28-year-old made a bigger impression at the Hawthorns last season than Bielik.

The former Bournemouth player made 25 league games in the first season of his three-year contract with the club, earning £35,000 per week.

Nat Phillips – £40,000 per week.

Nat Phillips was a large money acquisition from Liverpool during the 2025 summer transfer window, following a number of loan appearances in the Championship.

As a result of the move, the centre-back became West Brom’s highest-paid player, signing a three-year contract worth £40,000 per week.

The defender started all 40 of his Albion appearances in 2025/26, and Morrison expects big things from him in the coming year.
