Frank Lampard has agreed to a new role, with the Chelsea legend reportedly set for a “brilliant” reunion.

Frank Lampard has secured a new job ahead of the World Cup this summer in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Coventry City manager and Chelsea star Frank Lampard will feature as a special guest on Netflix’s The Rest Is Football Podcast this summer, ahead of the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Sky Blues boss will appear on the show, which will air everyday at 6 a.m. beginning June 10th.

Lampard will join Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, Micah Richards, and frequent contributor Joe Cole to debate the tournament and all of football’s big talking issues.

The former Chelsea midfielder is one of several special guests, including Harry Maguire, Millie Bright, Patrick Vieira, Romesh Ranganathan, and Niall Horan.

The show will be taped in Times Square, New York, and will feature expert match analysis, special guests, unique interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage from the world’s most prestigious football game.

Following his retirement from playing, Lampard worked as a television commentator, providing authoritative insight on matches. However, his managerial duties at Coventry have seen him move away from television commitments until now, according to the Mirror.

The Sky Blues manager has done an outstanding job at the CBS Arena, leading Coventry back into the top level as Championship winners.

His impressive performance at the Sky Blues drew the attention of numerous Premier League clubs with managerial openings this summer, including Crystal Palace and, more recently, Fulham.

However, Sky Blues chairman Doug King made it clearly known that he wanted to keep Lampard at the club.

In response to talk about the former Blues player returning to Stamford Bridge, King told BBC CWR, “He’s done a fantastic job, it’s been an incredible 18 months for us and him.”I am sure he is reflecting. I told him, “Don’t underestimate how difficult what you’ve just accomplished is to do.” He’s accomplished a lot in his playing career, but coming out of this league as champions without a parachute reward, given where we’ve come from, is a big accomplishment that nobody can take away from him.

“Everyone is going to be tied to everything; it’s a merry-go-round. It’s terrible that clubs appoint three or four managers per season. We don’t want to be in those situations; it suggests something has gone a little wrong.”

Lampard will reconnect with Lineker, Shearer, and Richards after previously working as a pundit for the BBC and Amazon.

Co-host Shearer stated that introducing The Rest Is Football on Netflix during the World Cup is a great way to fully immerse oneself in the sport.Richards said: “I’m absolutely buzzing for this. There’ll be huge performances, big decisions,

pressure moments, and plenty for supporters to debate – exactly what we love talking about.” “World Cup, Netflix, New York, and The Rest Is Football on a massive stage – what more could you ask for?”It will have everything that fans enjoy about the show: correct analysis, strong opinions, dressing-room stories, and, knowing us, plenty of laughter.”
