After eight seasons, the Midlands team’s tenure in the Premier League will come to an end as they are firmly anchored at the bottom of the standings.

Their goal is to be promoted straight back to the top flight, and they will already be making plans for the next transfer window.

The drop to the second division also puts important players at risk of leaving, which could result in a complete reorganization of the team.

Edwards took Luton Town to the Premier League in 2023, so his expertise in a promotion struggle might be crucial.

James Tavernier will suffer a setback for Wolves.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Wolves are keeping an eye on James Tavernier, a full-back who is expected to depart Rangers at the end of the current campaign.

However, Football Insider claims that the 34-year-old will choose to relocate to Saudi Arabia this summer rather than return to England.

After 11 years at Ibrox, the Rangers player is reportedly looking for a new challenge in his career, so a return to English football is doubtful.

Before joining Rangers in 2015, Tavernier played for a number of teams, including Wigan Athletic, Bristol City, Shrewsbury Town, and Rotherham United.

He won the Scottish Championship and Premiership while with the Glasgow team, and he gained experience playing in the Champions League and Europa.

The defender will become a free agent in the summer, and Wolves were thinking about making an attempt to sign him, but they are now certain to lose out.

This season, Tavernier has been a vital member of Danny Rohl’s team, making 32 appearances in the league as they pursue another championship.

The squad is presently third in the standings thanks to the right-back’s eight goals and four assists.

With four Premier League games left, Wolves is now three points behind Burnley in 19th position.
