A slew of Leicester City players will depart this summer, but some of the club’s more valuable assets will most likely leave quickly.

Unsavory situations have followed recent games, as the Foxes have devolved into a toxic disaster. Chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha has accepted responsibility for relegation, and fans are clamoring for significant changes to the club’s management as a major rebuild begins.

Gary Rowett will depart Leicester City at the conclusion of the season, making way for a new management. It remains to be known who is sought, but the Foxes will need to back them up with a full overhaul of their playing roster.

Departures are unavoidable, but a handful of contracted players are set to go on as LCFC prepares for League One.

The players expected to leave Leicester City this summer

It is important to remember that no players who are out of contract at the conclusion of the season will be included here. Asmir Begovic, Jordan Ayew, Jamaal Lascelles, Ricardo Pereira, Patson Daka, and Wayna Marcal are among the players whose contracts are about to expire, and they might all move on.

Abdul Fatawu is someone that the big Leicester City name clubs will be keeping an eye on. The winger has received criticism for his erratic performances, but this season has shown that when he is on his game, he is a prospect beyond Championship level.

It would not be surprising if Fatawu expressed an interest in the Premier League. Overseas clubs will very certainly have kept an eye on his position.

Caleb Okoli is another player who will almost certainly leave LCFC. Although he has not lived up to expectations at the King Power Stadium, he signed from Atalanta with the goal of playing in the Premier League and will have choices beyond League One.

Harry Winks will almost certainly go. A contract extension was triggered upon their promotion in 2024, thus he is locked in for another year.

However, the former England and Spurs midfielder was involved in a verbal incident with fans during the loss to Portsmouth and was booed strongly upon his appearance against Hull City. It will be a big surprise if he wears a Leicester City shirt next season.

Victor Kristiansen is comparable to Okoli. The Dane has been injured for much of the season, but he has also signed for Premier League football, so once fit, he will almost surely go on.

Top teams are lining up to sign Jeremy Monga, and the Foxes might profit handsomely by cashing in. However, there is a valid argument for battling to keep his services.

Who could become valuable assets for Leicester City in the future?

Leicester City must totally clear the slate following a humiliating fall in recent years. Many claim that the same is true for the club’s hierarchy, yet they appear to be committed despite recent failures.

As a result, the focus is primarily on the management team and the players. On that front, a reconstruction awaits, and the Foxes can find inspiration elsewhere.

Cardiff City were relegated from the Championship last season yet signed few players. They signed Brian Barry-Murphy, a manager with extensive experience in youth development, and have brought in a slew of new talents on their route to League One promotion.

LCFC will have to sign more players than the Bluebirds. However, they can rely on the academy for new starlets as they prepare for a new chapter.

As previously mentioned, this is why Monga may still be able to stay. Similar can be said for Ben Nelson, who, at 22, would be playing senior football elsewhere.

Louis Page, Olabade Aluko, Michael Golding, Lorenz Hutchinson, Kirstern Otchere, and Logan Briggs are also potential first-teamers.
