Coventry City were the first Championship team to secure their place in next season’s Premier League, but the other two promotion positions are yet to be determined.
On Friday, the Sky Blues drew 1-1 against Blackburn Rovers, securing their return to the Premier League after 25 years away from it.
Ipswich Town, Millwall, Southampton, and Middlesbrough are aiming for automatic promotion alongside Frank Lampard’s side, while Hull City, Wrexham, and Derby County compete for the final play-off position.
Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich have a game in hand on their promotion rivals, but only managed a 2-2 draw with Boro at Portman Road on Sunday.
Football League World has looked at how Opta’s supercomputer predicts the Championship top six will finish, with four games remaining for the Tractor Boys and three for fellow promotion hopefuls.
Hull City – Sixth

Hull previously had a slim chance of securing automatic promotion, but they are now focused on fending off Wrexham and Derby in the top-six race.
The Tigers remain winless in their previous four Championship games after being held to a 1-1 draw by Birmingham City on Saturday, with Tomoki Iwata’s equaliser canceling out Joe Gelhardt’s opening goal.
However, Opta’s supercomputer predicts that Sergej Jakirovic’s team will maintain their top-six position at the expense of Wrexham and Derby.
Middlesbrough – 5th.

Middlesbrough led Coventry in the Championship title race before being defeated 3-1 by the Sky Blues on February 16, but that seems like a distant memory now.
Boro have gone seven league games without a win, and the supercomputer predicts they’ll finish fifth.
Kim Hellberg’s men will attempt to rekindle their form in the final three games of the regular season so they can enter the play-offs with confidence.
Southampton – 4th

After a disastrous start to the season, Southampton have done an incredible job to put themselves firmly in the running for automatic promotion.
However, the Saints may have to settle for a playoff spot instead.
Tonda Eckert’s side has already made one trip to Wembley Stadium, where they will meet Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals, and they hope to return for the Championship play-off final.
Millwall – third.

Millwall, led by Alex Neil, will be licking their lips in their final three games against Stoke City, Leicester City, and Oxford United.
Stoke just have pride to play for, whilst Leicester and Oxford are also on the verge of relegation to League One, making them excellent opponents.
However, the supercomputer predicts that the Lions will finish third, rather than receiving automatic promotion alongside Coventry.
Ipswich Town – Second

Ipswich began the season with the intention of returning to the Premier League right away, and the Tractor Boys are on track to do it.
McKenna’s side have lost their past two games, but their promotion fate remains in their own hands, and they will be especially keen to defeat Southampton on April 28.
Coventry City – First

Coventry have already secured their spot in the Premier League for next season, and unless their form deteriorates dramatically, they are on track to win the Championship.
Unsurprisingly, the supercomputer predicts that the Sky Blues will win the second division.
