Norwich City face Portsmouth in the Championship at Carrow Road on Good Friday.
After a disastrous start to the season under Liam Manning, Norwich were in the relegation zone with only nine points when Philippe Clement came in November, but the Belgian has sparked a spectacular turnaround in his team’s fortunes.
The Canaries are presently 10th in the table following an extraordinary run of 11 wins in their previous 15 games, and while the nine-point deficit to the play-offs may be too much to overcome at this time in the season, they will not give up hope of a late top-six push just yet.
While Norwich has been on the rise in recent months, Portsmouth has suffered their third consecutive defeat, losing 6-1 to Queens Park Rangers before the international break.
Pompey are only one position and one point above the relegation zone following a six-game winless streak, but they do have a game in hand on the two teams directly behind them, Leicester City and Oxford United.
It’s fair to say that both Norwich and Portsmouth have injury concerns ahead of Friday’s encounter, so we looked at which players are expected to miss the battle in Norfolk.
Shane Duffy, Norwich City

During an injury-plagued season, defender Shane Duffy has made only five appearances for Norwich in all competitions, the latest of which came in late November.
After suffering a calf injury earlier in the season, Duffy is currently out with a hamstring ailment, and it is unclear whether he will be able to return before the end of the season.
Ben Chrisene, Norwich City

Ben Chrisene, a defender, missed much of the first half of the season due to injury, but he has established himself as a regular starter for Norwich under Clement at left back.
Chrisene has been sidelined for the past two games against Southampton and Charlton Athletic after limping off during the 2-0 win over Preston North End last month, but Clement is hopeful that his hamstring injury will not keep him out indefinitely, and he could be available for the visit of Portsmouth.
Harry Amass, Norwich City

After impressing on loan at Sheffield Wednesday in the first part of the season, defender Harry Amass appeared to be an exciting addition for Norwich when he joined from Manchester United in January.
However, after only one game for the Canaries, Amass suffered what Clement termed as a “serious” hamstring injury, implying he may not play again this season.
Lucien Mahovo, Norwich City

With Chrisene and Amass on the treatment table, Clement faces more injury concerns at left-back, since Lucien Mahovo is also out.
Mahovo has been sidelined with a muscle injury since early January, and with Clement expecting that the 20-year-old will be out for “quite a while,” he could have already played his final game of the season.
Mirko Topic, Norwich City

Mirko Topic, a midfielder from Portuguese club Famalicao, became one of Norwich’s marquee acquisitions this summer, joining for an initial fee of £3 million that could rise to £3.5 million.
Topic was a regular for the Canaries at the start of the season, but he suffered a major ACL injury in November, which will keep him out for the rest of the season.
Gabriel Forsyth – Norwich City

Midfielder Gabriel Forsyth was a surprising selection in Norwich’s first-team squad last season after joining from Scottish club Hamilton Academical, but his growth has stopped over the previous year due to injury issues.
In an effort to address his fitness issues, Forsyth had knee surgery for the second time in September, although it is unclear when he will be ready to return to action.
Oscar Schwartau, Norwich City

After struggling to make an impression in his first season with the club, Schwartau has been one of Norwich’s bright spots this season, scoring three goals and giving one assist in 34 games.
Schwartau has missed the last seven games due to a hamstring injury sustained in February, but he is anticipated to return after the international break, which means he might be included in the squad for the match against Portsmouth.
Matej Jurasek, Norwich City

Matej Jurasek has failed to meet expectations since joining Norwich from Slavia Prague for £5.8 million in January.
It appeared that Jurasek was finally finding his feet in a Canaries shirt, but he was sidelined for nine to ten weeks due to a bone fracture sustained in early February, making it unclear whether he will play again this season.
Papa Amadou Diallo, Norwich City

Winger Papa Amadou Diallo joined Norwich from French side Metz in the summer for £4.5 million, and he has four assists in 11 appearances for the club thus far, although injuries have prevented him from fully demonstrating his abilities.
After missing nearly four months with a leg injury earlier in the season, Diallo’s fitness concerns have resurfaced in recent months, and with him out since the end of January, it remains to be seen whether he will return before the end of the season.
Jeffrey Schlupp, Norwich City

Winger Jeffrey Schlupp joined Norwich on a free transfer in the summer after leaving Crystal Palace, but he has had a trying time at Carrow Road.
Schlupp has made just 11 appearances for the Canaries, the latest of which came in early November, but as he recovers from a hamstring injury, Clement confirmed last month that he is now practicing with the physios and should be available in the coming weeks.
Jovon Makama, Norwich City

Jovon Makama, Norwich’s best performer this season after joining from Lincoln City for £1.2 million in the summer, has 13 goals and one assist in 31 appearances.
However, Makama injured a bone in his foot in early February, and if he returns this season, Clement does not anticipate him to be available until the final few games of the season.
Ante Crnac, Norwich City

Ante Crnac was a regular starter for Norwich in the early part of the season, but he has been sidelined since rupturing his ACL in a loss to Derby County in late October.
Crnac’s injury necessitated surgery, so he will miss the remainder of the season, but he hopes to return to fitness in time for the start of preseason.
Mohamed Toure, Norwich City

Striker Mohamed Toure had an exciting start to life at Norwich after joining from Danish side Randers for £3.4 million in February, scoring five goals in his first five outings, including a hat-trick against Oxford United.
Toure, on the other hand, has been out of action since incurring a groin injury in late February, although he is expected to return after the international break and might face Portsmouth.
Josh Knight – Portsmouth

Following his £1 million summer transfer from German club Hannover, defender Josh Knight began the season as a regular starter for Portsmouth, but he has been sidelined since late November with a back injury.
Knight was initially anticipated to miss the rest of the season, but Mousinho has indicated that he could return before the conclusion of the season, albeit the trip to Norwich will be too soon for him.
Aji Alese, Portsmouth

After being considered surplus to requirements at Sunderland, defender Aji Alese completed a temporary move to Portsmouth in January.
However, Alese has only played four minutes in a Pompey shirt after tearing his groin on his debut against Preston, and he is unlikely to play again this season.
Mark Kosznovszky – Portsmouth

Midfielder Mark Kosznovszky joined Portsmouth from Hungarian side MTK in the summer, however he has made only 16 appearances in his debut season at Fratton Park due to injuries.
Kosznovszky will miss the rest of the season after suffering a catastrophic knee injury in December’s win over Charlton, which damaged both his ACL and MCL.
Andre Dozzell – Portsmouth

When fit, midfielder Andre Dozzell has been one of Portsmouth’s first names on the team sheet this season, with one goal and one assist in 31 games.
However, Dozzell has been out since mid-February with an ankle injury, and while he is nearing a return to play, Mousinho has stated that he is unlikely to be available for the game against Norwich.
Ebou Adams, Portsmouth

Midfielder Ebou Adams joined Portsmouth from Derby in January for £500,000, and he made an immediate impact for his new club, scoring an equaliser against fierce South Coast rivals Southampton on only his third game.
Adams has remained an important player for Pompey in recent months, but he was visibly distraught following the 6-1 defeat to QPR last time out, and Mousinho has stated that he will be sidelined for “a couple more weeks”.
Keshi Anderson – Portsmouth

Winger Keshi Anderson joined Portsmouth on a free transfer in January after leaving Birmingham City, however he has only made two substitute appearances for the club.
Anderson has not played for more than two months due to a hamstring injury, but Mousinho believes he will be able to call on the 30-year-old for the trip to Carrow Road on Friday.
Florian Bianchini – Portsmouth

Winger Florian Bianchini joined Portsmouth on loan from Swansea City in the summer, but his time at Fratton Park has been unsuccessful, with only one assist in 11 outings.
Bianchini has been out since late November owing to chronic tendinitis in his knee, and with Mousinho admitting that he is unable to give a timetable for his comeback, it appears unlikely that he will play this season.
Franco Umeh, Portsmouth

Portsmouth recruited winger Franco Umeh from Crystal Palace in the summer, but he has been troubled by injuries throughout his debut season there.
The clubhouse.
Umeh made two substitute appearances for Pompey over the Christmas break after waiting nearly four months to make his debut, but he will miss the rest of the season after tearing his hamstring in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal in January.
Josh Murphy, Portsmouth

Winger Josh Murphy had a fantastic debut season at Portsmouth last year, and while injuries have prevented him from repeating that form this season, he has still provided five assists in 14 games.
Murphy has been out since late December with a broken foot, and he will miss the rest of the season, dealing a significant blow to Pompey’s survival aspirations.
Thomas Waddingham, Portsmouth

Striker Thomas Waddingham joined Portsmouth from Australian side Brisbane Roar in January, although he has only scored once at Fratton Park thus far.
Waddingham has only made five Pompey appearances this season, the latest of which came in late August, and after missing over six months due to a thigh injury, it is unclear when he will be able to return.
