Hull City vs Chelsea FA Cup clash postponed as Met Office issues weather warning.

Chelsea’s FA Cup match against Hull City on Friday is in question after the Met Office issued a new weather warning.

The Blues will be hoping to bounce back after being held to a 2-2 draw by Leeds United at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Goals from Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer placed the home team ahead, but Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor equalized in the second half.

Chelsea advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup by defeating Charlton Athletic 5-1 last month, in Liam Rosenior’s first game in charge.

Rosenior was appointed to replace Enzo Maresca, and the Englishman has led his team to seven wins in ten games across all competitions.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning.

Hull will want to spring a surprise when Chelsea visits MKM Stadium on Friday.

The Tigers advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup after defeating Blackburn Rovers on penalties in January, and they seek to prolong their run.

The last time they advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup, Chelsea defeated them in 2018.

Rosenior was on the pitch when they last reached the final, against Arsenal in 2014, when despite leading 2-0, Steve Bruce’s team were defeated.

The Chelsea manager went on to lead Hull from 2022 to 2024, but he will now return to the away dugout.

However, officials will be paying special eye to the skies before any game can take place, since the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in the surrounding area.

The area of impact is now forecast to be just shy of Hull, however the scenario may change in the following hours.

What Liam Rosenior said about Hull City

Rosenior joined Hull on a free transfer in 2010 and appeared in 161 games during his five-year tenure.

Following his exit in 2015, he spent the final few years of his playing career with Brighton before returning to the Tigers as a manager in 2022.

Rosenior led Hull to seventh place in the Championship, although he was eventually removed due to disagreements with the ownership.

Before Friday’s game, he added, “Hull City is very special to me.” My grandmother held season tickets. I have a family gathering coming soon. The club is very important to me for a variety of reasons.
