Tom Brady provides a critical report on Birmingham City.

Tom Brady, Birmingham City’s minority stakeholder, has encouraged his team to “keep the momentum,” following back-to-back league victories for the first time since early November.

Chris Davies’ team defeated managerless Leicester City on Saturday for their second straight league win, propelling them into the top ten, just two points behind sixth-place Wrexham.

The 2-1 victory extended their unbeaten record in all competitions, which began on New Year’s Day away to Watford. Following a highly successful January transfer window, many expect the Blues to have a good second half of the season and possibly mount a play-off charge.

Birmingham has the complete backing of everyone involved with the club, from supporters to investors.

Tom Brady offers a “momentum” message to Birmingham City.

With Super Bowl 60 taking place in the NFL on Sunday night between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, Birmingham used the opportunity to honor the accomplishments of Tom Brady, probably the greatest quarterback of all time and a minority Blues investor.

It was the Patriots’ first Super Bowl appearance since Brady left the franchise in 2019. During his two decades with the team, they earned six Super Bowl championships.

Birmingham reflected on this with an Instagram image featuring a cartoon Brady holding the renowned trophy but wearing a Blues insignia in the corner of his shirt.

Brady responded to this picture on his Instagram account, tagging the club and writing, “So proud of our squad! Let’s maintain the momentum!”

The seven-time winner will be looking for a better season finale at St Andrews than his old team, which lost 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks.

Birmingham City can gain confidence in a late-season play-off challenge.

Millwall’s victory over Wrexham on Saturday was huge, as it blew the race for sixth wide open ahead of what promises to be an exciting final 15 games in the Championship.

Swansea City, in 15th place, is now only five points behind the Red Dragons, who are in the final play-off berth. Clearly, hitting form at the right time may mean the difference between finishing in the top four and not, and Birmingham will be convinced that they have the ability to do so.

The Blues strengthened tremendously in the January transfer window, letting go of some of those who helped them to League One promotion in favour of dynamic, young players who may possibly play in the Premier League in a few seasons.

Following that, Birmingham has picked up some big wins over teams that are, admittedly, around the bottom of the league. But that’s given them some momentum to carry into what appears to be a challenging stretch run.

Momentum will be the word of the game for those in the upper mid-table of the second tier right now, and Chris Davies will have every reason to feel his team can ride it into the top six.
