Birmingham City appear to have reversed their stance on Kyogo’s move after a previous Celtic attempt to sign him failed.

Going into the winter transfer window, it was evident that Celtic needed to strengthen their attacking options. They have accomplished some of their goals with only a week remaining. Tomas Cvancara has joined on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach for the remainder of the season, with a £7 million option to acquire him permanently in the summer.
But Celtic may use another striker. One of the names mentioned earlier in the window is well-known to Parkhead fans.
There have been reports that Kyogo was ready to return to Celtic Park. However, they were mistaken, as Birmingham City were unwilling to part ways with the Japanese international despite his terrible start at the Championship club.
Things appear to have altered in that regard, however. According to Football Insider, Birmingham City are open to bids for Kyogo in the final ten days of the January transfer window. Swansea City are planning a move for the Japanese striker.

Celtic’s interest in signing Kyogo remains uncertain, having been turned down earlier in the window. It’s worth noting that the team has expanded its striker roster since bringing in Cvancara.
It’s unclear how active Celtic will be in the last days of the window. There is a lot of work to be done, but not much time left.
Returning for Kyogo would undoubtedly be a popular move among fans. He has a track record of scoring goals in Scottish football, and a return to Parkhead could be just what he needs after struggling at Rennes and Birmingham City.
