Fotospor is reporting Hamer’s growth, and the Blades have stated that they would be willing to sanction his exit if the correct price was offered.

Meanwhile, defender Burrows could leave the Steel City before the end of the month for Trabzonspor, with the Yorkshire Post previously stating that Sheffield United rejected a £3.5 million deal for his services, wanting £5 million.

It would not be surprising if the Blades duo left the club during the January transfer window, given that both of their game time has been reduced under Chris Wilder.

Hamer has not started any of his past three Championship games, and he was an unused substitute in their 2-1 victory against Stoke City at the end of December 2025.

Similarly, Burrows has been in and out of the lineup, starting only one of his last five league games and regressing since his strong performances last season, which helped the club reach the play-off final.

It would provide Sheffield United with an excellent opportunity to inject additional monies into the club’s coffers, which could then be spent on recruits for the remainder of the month to alter the squad and help them push for the play-offs in May.

Based on the most recent reports, it appears like these exits may become a reality in the next weeks.

Meanwhile, Burrows could be making the switch from Turkey after seen his minutes under Chris Wilder shrink in recent weeks.

The Yorkshire Post reported that the Blades had rejected a £3.5 million approach from the Turkish club, with the Blades only willing to split ways if they received a £5 million proposal.

Trabzonspor is expected to return with a larger offer, as they sorely need a left-back for the second half of their Süper Lig campaign.

After a highly good season last season that helped the club reach the play-off final, Burrows may be considering moving on and having much better first-team possibilities away from Bramall Lane.

However, regardless of their current challenges for regular first-team minutes, Sheffield United would be losing valuable depth ahead of a hectic Championship schedule.

If these exits occur, the Blades will be significantly weaker, so they must ensure that the incoming funds are spent quickly and wisely in order to secure adequate replacements and keep the squad well-equipped enough to compete for promotion in May.
