Philippe Clement’s judgment on Norwich City’s 2-1 victory over Wrexham

Norwich City’s 2-1 victory over Wrexham demonstrated their resolve to fight with the Championship’s best teams, according to head coach Philippe Clement.

The Canaries won all three games in North Wales despite missing Josh Sargent, who was suspended for disciplinary reasons.

Clement lauded the hosts’ challenge while also acknowledged Wrexham’s recent excellent form.

He claimed Wrexham had been in fantastic form, winning their previous five games and even knocked Premier League side Nottingham Forest out of the FA Cup, making the journey difficult.

Clement, on the other hand, thought his players entered the encounter with confidence and intensity, mirroring what he had seen in training earlier in the week.

He characterized the win as meaningful and essential, saying it sent a clear statement about Norwich’s desire to compete against the league’s elite teams.

Despite the victory, Norwich remains in the bottom three, since Portsmouth also won away at Sheffield Wednesday.

Attention now shifts to their next encounter, an away trip to West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening.
