‘Wilfried Nancy is getting fired tonight’ – Celtic fans react to ‘disgusting’ twist.

Celtic were humiliated 3-1 by Rangers on Saturday after a disgraceful performance, with Wilfried Nancy now on a tight rope.

The Frenchman has overseen a disastrous start at Celtic Park, losing six of his first eight games.

While the manager was disappointed by his players in Celtic’s defeat to Rangers, he simply had no answers for the Gers’ second-half rally, which ultimately led to victory.

Nancy was already under pressure at Celtic before the game, and fans are now asking that he be removed from his position.

Celtic fans demand that Wilfried Nancy gets fired tonight.

Nancy’s reign has been marked by few, if any, good signals.

Given that Martin O’Neill left Celtic Park with the team in a strong position to complete another treble, all of his hard work has now been undone.

Despite Rangers’ poor start under Russell Martin, the Gers are equal on points with the Hoops, with Nancy’s side leading their Old Firm rivals by goal difference.

Now, supporters believe a change is required before the season completely collapses.

Nancy appeared to be out of trouble at halftime after a great performance. However, there was a twist in the tale: Celtic were unable to achieve the same levels after the interval, which supporters described as “disgusting”.

What did Nancy remark following Celtic’s defeat by Rangers?

Nancy is no doubt aware of the strain he is under at Celtic.

The results have been disappointing, and it is unclear whether he will be able to improve the situation.

Celtic are currently in freefall, and with fans already turning against the manager, there appears to be only one option.

Nancy, on the other hand, is certain that he can turn things around at the Hoops, despite the hosts’ wasted opportunities in the encounter.

On January 3, he told BBC Radio Scotland, “It’s disappointing. Disappointed because I believe we deserve better now.

“But I believe we deserved more goals. The first half was amazing in terms of energy, pressure, and willingness to compete and win every ball.

“But just 1-0, and then, in the second half, we came back. We had control, and we evaluated three throwing goals. So it’s difficult to accept.

“Well, this isn’t about me. This is about disappointing the fans, certainly, because I understand the significance of this game, but the reality is that I saw them push us in a positive way.

“You know, in the first half, we had a lot of opportunities, and the way we fought showed that the supporters were with us. And then, in the second half, after we conceded the first goal, we wanted to surge again, and then we contemplated the three goals.

“So I understand their disappointment, but I can also tell them that they witnessed what we are capable of doing. However, in terms of results, it is very normal to be disappointed.

“We have to stay together, and we are so close; there are so many things we can turn around. If that had not been the case, I would not have spoken in this manner, but we have many, many subjects on which we are very close.

“However, this is not enough. We just have a few details, but I believe we will be able to turn things around.”
