BREAKING: Celtic have fired Wilfried Nancy immediately following today’s loss to Dundee United.

Wilfried Nancy is poised to be fired if Celtic fail to win their next two games, according to Football Insider.

The recently appointed Frenchman, 48, has lost his first four games in command amid a fan revolt over how the club is being operated.

Celtic supporters have demanded that Nancy be fired and Martin O’Neill, who won seven of his eight games as interim manager, be reinstated.

According to sources, Nancy will oversee Sunday’s home league match against Aberdeen, as well as the trip to Livingston next Saturday.

However, if Celtic fail to win both games, he will not be able to continue.

It means his rule could end after only six games, which would be an extraordinary admission from the club of a failed appointment.

Wilfried Nancy is running out of time at Celtic.

Nancy was appointed Celtic manager on December 3, but he is already facing intense scrutiny as he tries to keep his position.

A Celtic fan threw something at Nancy during Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to Dundee United, as they squandered a chance to capture a crucial three points in the Scottish Premiership.

This now puts the Old Firm side six points behind table toppers Hearts. However, the Hoops do have a game to play.

Nancy was spared the sack following Celtic’s Scottish League Cup defeat to St. Mirren, but the board will fire him if things do not improve soon.

Nancy’s dominance at Celtic Park thus far in numbers
Nancy has overseen four games as Celtic manager, all of which have resulted in defeat.

As a result, the Frenchman has become the first Old Firm manager in history to lose all four of his first games in charge.

Furthermore, under his reign, the Hoops have only scored three goals, one in each match.

In comparison, they’ve conceded ten times, including shipping three times on two different occasions.
