
Three people were arrested after a brawl broke out during Coventry City’s match against Middlesbrough on Tuesday at the Riverside Stadium. Police reacted to reports of unrest shortly after Coventry’s 4-2 triumph.
Two of those arrested have been released on bail, while the third will return voluntarily for additional questioning. Authorities are currently working with Middlesbrough FC to increase stadium security for future games.
Two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man have been detained on charges of public order crimes. According to Cleveland Police, “An 18-year-old man and two 17-year-old boys were arrested for public order violations at the end of the Middlesbrough vs. Coventry match on November 25.”
Two more people will be reported for summons. The occurrences took place within the Riverside Stadium, and we will continue to collaborate with Middlesbrough FC to investigate and prevent similar incidents in the future.”
