Norwich City are reportedly investigating Gary O’Neil, Russell Martin, and Will Still as prospective replacements for Liam Manning.
According to journalist Rob Butler, the Canaries intend to choose Manning’s successor before returning from their international break. Sporting director Ben Knapper is thought to be leading the hunt, with owner Mark Attanasio taking a more active role this time.

Manning’s stint was brief, lasting only 15 league games, as the squad stumbled to a dismal start to the season. Norwich are presently 23rd in the Championship, four points from safety, placing pressure on the club to make the correct management decision.
All three contenders are now unattached to clubs: O’Neil recently withdrew from consideration for a Wolves return, while Martin and Still were fired earlier this season by Rangers and Southampton, respectively. Each is viewed as capable of improving Norwich’s fortunes, although as Manning’s brief tenure shown, success is not guaranteed.
Knapper’s status may potentially be called into question if the club fails to improve under the new manager, and Attanasio’s growing engagement indicates a lack of complete trust in the sports director to lead the recruiting process on his own.
