“He is one of the worst signings in the club’s history.” It bothers me terribly that we made such a huge mistake in signing Dani Olmo, and the fact that we now have to rely on him makes me sick. Take the loss this summer and sell him for what we can get.”
A fifth point of criticism concluded: “PSG may have suffered more injuries, but at least they played with 11 men. Olmo delivered a diabolical performance, the worst waste of €60 million I’ve ever seen. Now that Fermin is out, we should try something new instead of the 10.
It is evident that something must change if Olmo is not sold in 2026. The midfielder has shown flashes of brilliance throughout his career, but if he continues to fall short in the most important games, Hansi Flick may be forced to replace him with proven big-game performers – the type of players Barcelona has frequently relied on in the past to get them over the line in the Champions League.
