The winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or has been revealed.

Last but not least, the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner has been revealed.

Following months of conjecture, the world’s finest football player was awarded in a star-studded ceremony held at Paris, France’s Theatre du Chatelet.

Ousmane Dembele, a winger for Paris Saint-Germain, was the bookmakers’ favourite to win the coveted trophy going into the event.

Meanwhile, other contenders included Raphinha, Mohamed Salah, and Lamine Yamal.

The players that placed from 30th to 11th, including Virgil van Dijk, Harry Kane, Desire Doue, and Pedri, were revealed prior to the ceremony.

Superstar Yamal of Barcelona won the Kopa Trophy once more, defeating players like Estevao, Desire Doue, Kenan Yildiz, and Joao Neves.

Hannah Hampton of England and Gianluigi Donnarumma of Manchester City were crowned the world’s greatest goalkeepers.

Luis Enrique won the men’s Johan Cruyff award, while Sarina Wiegman, the manager of England, won the women’s one.

The two major prizes were given out as the ceremony came to a close, and Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmati took home the women’s prize for the third consecutive year.

In the meantime, PSG sensation Dembele won the men’s award, defeating Yamal to take home the prestigious trophy.

Yamal was kind after losing to Dembele; he was spotted grinning and applauding before the two of them embraced.

Following Rodri’s victory from the previous year, the Frenchman was met with cheers as he took the stage to become the newest player to win the Ballon d’Or.

“I can’t believe I’ve been given this award by one of the greatest legends of all time,” Dembele remarked after Ronaldinho, a legend of Brazil, handed him the prize. This prize is a communal effort. All of my teammates deserve my gratitude.

“My dream club, FC Barcelona, has my gratitude. I also want to thank Lionel Messi, with whom I played, for teaching me a lot.
