The Football Association has handed Chelsea with 74 charges.
Simon Jordan has outlined the punishment he expects Chelsea to face after being charged by the Football Association.
On Thursday, the FA said that Chelsea had been charged with 74 suspected violations of the regulations governing working with agents and third-party investment in players.
According to the statement, the charges cover instances that happened between 2009 and 2022.
Furthermore, it is thought that the charges stem mostly from instances that occurred between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons, when Roman Abramovich owned the Blues.
Chelsea has until September 19, 2025 to answer.
In response to the news, former Crystal Palace chairman Jordan stated the punishment he expects Chelsea to face for the allegations.
He stated on talkSPORT: “They declared themselves, Todd Boehly offered that information, so they pretty much outlined it themselves, so they will have clout in terms of the sentence that they will receive.
“What will be the consequences?” I’d assume financial. I’d assume financial. If it’s financial, it won’t cost Boehly anything, but it will cost Romano Abramovich something.

Chelsea break silence over FA charges.
Chelsea responded to the claims by issuing their own statement.
It read: “Chelsea FC is glad to confirm that its interaction with The FA regarding matters self-reported by the club has now reached a conclusion.
“The Club’s ownership group completed its purchase of the club on May 30, 2022. During a rigorous due diligence process prior to closing the purchase, the ownership group discovered potentially insufficient financial reporting about earlier transactions, as well as other potential violations of FA regulations. Immediately following the completion of the purchase, the Club self-reported these issues to all relevant regulators, including The FA.
“The Club has displayed unparalleled transparency throughout this process, including providing full access to its files and historical data. We will continue to collaborate with The FA to resolve this situation as quickly as feasible. We would like to express our gratitude to The FA for their involvement with the Club in this complex issue, the focus of which has been on matters that occurred over a decade ago.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action this weekend, taking on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
