Alejandro Garnacho was sold to Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
Manchester United apparently targeted one player to replace Alejandro Garnacho, but the transfer never materialised.
Garnacho, an Argentine youth, left Manchester United last month to join Premier League rivals Chelsea.
It was stated that the 21-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge for £40 million.
Garnacho stated after signing for Chelsea: “It’s a wonderful opportunity for my family and me to join this famous club. I cannot wait to get started. I watched the Club global Cup, and joining the global winners is an honour; we are the best team in the world!
“When I was younger, I really enjoyed watching Chelsea. I possess a winning mentality. I am passionate and have a large personality. It’s a logical fit for a club like Chelsea, which recently won the Club World Cup.

Garnacho became Chelsea’s sixth new attacker this summer, after Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Estevao, and Jamie Gittens.
After Garnacho’s departure and Matheus Cunha’s injury, United reportedly intended to pursue Lyon star Malick Fofana.
According to Foot Mercato, the Red Devils tried their luck with the help of Jorge Mendes, who acted as a matchmaker between Manchester United and the player’s father.
“The English club was simply waiting for a signal from the player’s father to initiate hostilities. Signal that never arrived.”

In addition to United, Fofana has been connected with Everton, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
Belgian star Fofana has one goal and one assist in three Ligue 1 appearances this season (25/26).
The 20-year-old has impressed following a successful 24/25 season in which he scored five goals and assisted four times in 29 games in France’s top flight.
In ten Europa League games, Fofana scored six goals and assisted once.
United return to Premier League action this weekend, facing local rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
