Real Madrid fans can’t believe what the club has posted minutes after Barcelona’s title win was confirmed

Real Madrid supporters have been responding on social media to the club’s post right after Barcelona won La Liga.

Barcelona knew that a victory would guarantee their 28th top flight title when they arrived to the RCDE Stadium on Thursday night to play local rivals Espanyol.

The referee briefly stopped the game during the first half due to an incident outside the stadium.

Several supporters were knocked down by a car in a video that was shared on social media; it was later verified that the incident happened before to kickoff.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague said on ITV Sport that nine more people had been injured, including four who were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

On the pitch, Barcelona performed admirably as they won 2-0 and won La Liga thanks to goals from Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal.

On social media shortly after Barcelona’s victory, rivals Madrid posted, “Enhorabuena al @FCBarcelona por la Liga 2024-2025,” which means, “Congratulations to @FCBarcelona for the 2024-2025 League.”

Some Madrid supporters expressed their displeasure with the post by saying, “Delete this, thank you.”

“Not acceptable.” was tweeted by another.

“In pain.” was added by a third fan.

After the game, manager Hansi Flick spoke about Barcelona’s championship victory: “I think the second part of the season has been incredible.”

“No games have been lost by us. My congratulations go out to the players, the club, and the supporters. It has been amazing. Mental toughness is always crucial. We have benefited from our post-winter break training.

“Winning the Super Cup also gave us confidence,” he continued. Frenkie (De Jong) and other players have improved, and the players have achieved their peak.

“I know what the situation is with respect to what happened two years ago and I wanted to celebrate it inside.”

Barcelona will return to La Liga action on Sunday when they play Villarreal at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium. They will then play Athletic Club at the San Mames the following weekend to wrap up their season.
