Real Madrid ‘in talks’ with Carlo Ancelotti over shock return to the club just days after being named Brazil manager

At the conclusion of the current season, Carlo Ancelotti will depart Real Madrid.

Despite Carlo Ancelotti’s imminent departure, Real Madrid is apparently making plans for his comeback.

Ancelotti’s departure from Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign to become the new manager of the Brazilian national team was confirmed earlier this week.

After the current La Liga season concludes on May 26, the 65-year-old will formally take over as Brazil’s manager.

Los Blancos have had a very dismal season and are expected to lose to Barcelona, their hated rivals, in the La Liga championship match.

After losing to Premier League team Arsenal in the Champions League, they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Ancelotti, one of the most successful managers of his generation, will try to rekindle Brazil’s international reputation despite the recent setbacks.

“This historic moment sees the coming together of two icons — the only five-time FIFA World Cup champions and a coach with an unmatched record across Europe’s elite competitions,” the Brazilian Football Association said in a statement.

“The CBF warmly welcomes Mr Ancelotti and looks forward to a new era of success under his leadership.”

Florentino Perez, the president of Madrid, was also commended by the CBF for “facilitating the coach’s release during his contract term”

Nevertheless, it has now been asserted that Ancelotti and Madrid wish to get back together following the 2026 World Cup.

This is more of a “see you later” than a final farewell between Madrid and Ancelotti, according to Spanish news agency MARCA.

‘A function to be determined’ has been proposed as Ancelotti’s return to Madrid after his tenure as Brazil’s manager.

“Best of all, the two parties have not closed the door,” the report said. When the Italian’s commitment to Brazil comes to an end, the promise of his return remains intact. There is a chance that Real Madrid will get close to Ancelotti.

“The 25th will not be a final farewell, but rather a memorial and a see-you-later. The coach and the team need a vacation. They have discussed that he will return to the club for an unspecified function after the Brazilian adventure is complete.
