Lamine Yamal personally endorses Barcelona signing one player this summer

This evening, the Barcelona winger, who has performed well in an exciting team this season, might win his second La Liga title.

According to reports, Lamine Yamal has “personally endorsed” a player who is being connected to a possible move to Barcelona.

This season, Yamal, 17, has been one of the many bright spots in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona team and is rapidly rising to the top of the global football conversation.

If Barca defeats local rivals Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium this evening, the Spanish international, who has Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Pedri as supporting players, might win La Liga twice.

Yamal painfully missed out on the Champions League semi-finals as Barca lost to Inter 7–6 on aggregate, setting up a final matchup with PSG. Yamal has already won the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España this season.

Even though Flick’s team had a very successful 2024–25 season, the German manager will probably want to expand his choices this summer, albeit there are rumours that up to eight players may depart in order to balance the books financially.

Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United who is presently on loan at Aston Villa, has been linked to a possible move to Barcelona. Since joining Unai Emery’s team during the winter transfer window, Rashford’s form has improved.

Rashford even left the remark “Young King” on Yamal’s Instagram photo after Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4–3 last Sunday, May 11.

Rashford, 27, is reportedly a “priority” for Barca this summer, according to a report from the Spanish publication El Nacional.

Even in the form of a loan with a buyout option, the player’s entourage has shown direct interest in playing at Camp Nou, according to the site. Barça is thinking about this option because it wouldn’t require a significant upfront cost and would enable them to evaluate his performance over the course of a season before committing to a long-term deal. The club is aware that an outright transfer is not financially possible, but if United agrees, a loan might be.

“The deal also has a strong internal endorsement: Lamine Yamal,” the newspaper adds. When the coaching staff casually enquired about the young Barça talent’s thoughts on Rashford’s coming, his answer was unambiguous: “I love the idea.”
