Sir Jim Ratcliffe issues statement after Manchester United win FA Cup as Erik ten Hag future unclear

Sir Jim Ratcliffe was at Wembley to watch Manchester United win the FA Cup

Manchester United won the FA Cup on Saturday after defeating Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.
The “skill” and “commitment” of Manchester United have been commended by Sir Jim Ratcliffe following their FA Cup victory at Wembley over Man City.

For the majority of the game, United led deservedly thanks to goals from homegrown players Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. However, in the final minutes of normal time, Jeremy Doku set up a thrilling finish with a low-driven effort.

United managed to hold on to the victory, which not only kept them from going the entire season without winning a trophy, but also guaranteed them a spot in the redesigned Europa League for the following season.

Ratcliffe addressed the FA Cup victory after the game, but he remained silent when reporters in the mixed zone questioned him about Ten Hag’s future.

“Winning the FA Cup final at Wembley is a fantastic feeling. Even though Manchester United was obviously not the favorite to win today, they defeated one of the greatest football teams ever by playing with complete dedication and skill. The players and the staff, who put in a lot of effort to support them, have our utmost pride.

What will happen with Ten Hag after a report on the eve of the game indicated he would be fired regardless of the FA Cup win outcome is still up in the air. United sources insisted that no decision had been made regarding the Dutchman and that his future would be decided only after their season was finished and thoroughly reviewed.
