Pep Guardiola takes drastic Jack Grealish action after Man City star linked with shock move to Premier League rivals

It has been reported that Pep Guardiola has taken action in response to the rumours that Jack Grealish is being linked with a shocking move away from Manchester City.

Grealish has had a difficult time securing a consistent beginning position in Guardiola’s starting eleven ever since he made the move to the club in 2021 for a significant fee.

At this point in time, the 29-year-old player has only scored 16 goals for the club in 152 games played.

Due to the fact that he has fallen behind players such as Savinho, Jeremy Doku, Omar Marmoush, and Phil Foden in the pecking order, the Englishman has seen his game time reduced during this course of the season.

As we look ahead to the summer, Grealish has been mentioned in connection with a possible departure from City.

It has been reported by Give Me Sport that Tottenham Hotspur, a club competing in the Premier League, have expressed interest in acquiring Grealish.

The following is an excerpt from the report: “Jack Grealish’s valuation and ongoing role at Manchester City are being evaluated, and the club is anticipating that suitors will knock on the door this summer, with Tottenham being among those most interested parties.”

“Tottenham are being linked with a surprise move this summer, and explorations into that have been interesting.”

During City’s FA Cup victory over Bournemouth on Sunday, Grealish was reportedly given a new role, despite the fact that he has been having a difficult time.

The substitution of Grealish occurred in the 69th minute, and City ultimately prevailed by a score of 2-1 thanks to goals scored by Erling Haaland and Marmoush.

As Grealish was getting ready to enter the fray, Guardiola reportedly told him to “not worry about the ball.” This information was reported by The Sun.

It has been suggested that Grealish’s job was to pull Bournemouth’s midfield away from the wide areas of the pitch.

A journalist by the name of Dean Scoggins stated, “He was saying, ‘You make this run and you don’t worry about the ball.'” Doing something like telling Jack Grealish not to be concerned about the ball is a strange thing to do.

“However, the most important thing is that you remove the player from the middle of the pitch, and then we will be able to enjoy ourselves with Nico O’Reilly. When the halftime whistle blew, Pep delivered a tactical masterclass.

After achieving victory over the Cherries, Grealish posted the following message on social media: “It was a pleasure to be back out there at last.” The support from away was incredible… Here comes Wembley.”
