After a confrontation between the two during Liverpool’s Premier League draw against West Ham, Mohamed Salah has spoken out about Jurgen Klopp ahead of his final game.
Not only will Mohamed Salah of Liverpool remember Jurgen Klopp as a manager, but also as someone he could always rely on when things got tough.
During some of Klopp’s most memorable moments as Liverpool manager, Salah has played a pivotal role. The Egyptian striker became a member in the summer of 2017 and assisted the manager in winning the Premier League and Champions League.
On Sunday, Klopp will be in charge of his farewell Liverpool match as Wolves visit Anfield. Salah is one of several players, both current and former, who have talked about their memories of the former manager of Borussia Dortmund.
The two had a heated exchange during Liverpool’s 2-2 away draw to West Ham less than a month ago. Despite their brief falling out, Salah doesn’t seem to have let it cloud his memories of Klopp.
Before Liverpool’s league final, Salah said to Sky Sports, “I think initially in the first call we had, the thing that stuck in my mind was him explaining to me he wanted me to come here.” “And he essentially told me that he wanted me to play in the side and that he was creating a new team at the club with Sadio [Mane] and Bobby [Firmino].
“With my football, he promised to “improve it and give you the flexibility to do as you please.” I said to myself, “Okay, I’m coming.” You can see that I arrived before the rest.
“We are here for seven or eight years together so there are too many moments [to choose] but I think winning the Premier League in that game, when Chelsea beat Man City and also winning the Champions League is a thing that sticks in my mind because there are too many emotions involved.”

In addition to the memories from the field, Salah had a lot to say about Klopp the man. The former Roma star continued, “I always look at this situation as a human being.” “Everyone can see that we gave everything to the club to win trophies, and he definitely helped me as a player. I also helped him a lot as a manager.
However, what I take away from that is that, as a person, I can talk to him and ask for help if I’m in need. I believe that our communication will continue for the rest of our lives. We take our relationship outside of the workplace and will always be in touch because of this.”
Salah is not the only current player making a tribute; goalie Alisson is expecting a tearful send-off on Sunday. “The gaffer gave the opportunity not only for the players to be part of this successful team, but he gave [that] to the supporters as well,” the Brazilian told the club’s media. “He gave the supporters a sense of inclusion in it. I believe this is the reason why everyone will be so sensitive.
