Man Utd ‘finalise’ four-man striker shortlist for summer transfer window with wildcard option included

A four-man striker shortlist has been compiled by Manchester United in preparation for the summer transfer window. The club is looking to strengthen their attack by entering the market.

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of the Red Devils, has scored eight goals in the Premier League since the beginning of the season, making him the team’s leading goalscorer. The Red Devils have struggled to score goals this season.

As a result of the fact that both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, who are both strikers, have only scored four goals in the league, United is looking to make a new high-profile addition to the striker position. Both players cost more than one hundred million pounds combined.

Both Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven were acquired by United during the transfer window that took place in January. Both of these players are defenders.

However, Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany claims that they are “intensively scouting the market” for a new frontman and that “talks have already begun” in preparation for the window opening once more.

Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gykoreres are two strikers whose names continue to be mentioned in connection with United. United has been strongly linked with a number of attacking players.

Due to the fact that he was unable to secure a transfer to either Chelsea or the Saudi Pro League during the summer, Osimhen is currently playing for Galatasaray on loan from Barcelona. In the meantime, Gykoreres has progressed to become one of the best strikers in the world while playing for Sporting CP under the direction of Ruben Amorim. He has scored 83 goals in his last two seasons.

According to reports, both of the strikers mentioned above “remain high” on United’s list of potential players. However, the club is also keeping an eye on Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko, both of Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, who are in the Bundesliga and are considered to be two younger options.

The goal drought is broken by Hojlund.
This past Sunday, United No. 9 After a goalless streak that lasted for 22 hours and 19 minutes, Hojlund was finally able to score. After 22 games and three months, he scored his first goal for United in their 3-0 victory over Leicester. This was his first strike in a longer period of time.

The former Atalanta player confidently finished with his right foot, and Amorim praised him for it. Amorim now hopes that this will give him more confidence in the weeks to come.

According to Amorim, “It is of utmost significance for Rasmus.”

“He is acting in a responsible manner, contributing to the team, and competing for each and every ball. Despite the fact that he scored a very good goal, I believe that he deserved it more than anyone else.

This was a challenging goal, and he had a hard time maintaining control with his right foot. We are so confident in ourselves that it is a shame that we have to stop for the national teams.

“Today, it was abundantly clear that my players have reached their maximum capacity. We are going to take advantage of this opportunity to relax and recuperate. It will turn out well. Upon our return, it will be as if we were beginning from the very beginning.
