For the Dallas Cowboys, an era is coming to an end. Seven-time All-Pro guard Zack Martin has announced his retirement from the game after 11 seasons with the team. For Martin, who will now hang up his boots after playing for the Cowboys organisation his entire professional career, it was a tough choice. Beginning when the Cowboys selected Martin as a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the team released an emotional tribute video for the 34-year-old star. The montage then shifted to Martin’s rise to prominence as one of the best guards in the game’s history.
In the midst of this difficult decision, Martin’s wife, Morgan Martin, had to respond to the Cowboys’ tribute video. Sharing the video on her Instagram stories, Martin wrote, “I have no words,” adding, “Just proud and in awe of you.”
