Xabi Alonso suffers Real Madrid setback as club bosses brutally reject his plea for new signing

The second transfer request from Xabi Alonso was mercilessly rejected by the Real Madrid board.

After Real Madrid ruthlessly turned down his next top transfer target, manager Xabi Alonso took a serious hit.

Alonso was held to a shocking stalemate with Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal in the Club World Cup, his first game as Real Madrid’s manager since taking over from club veteran Carlo Ancelotti.

Due to the outcome, the Spanish team could need to defeat Pachuca and RB Salzburg in both of their remaining group matches in order to advance to the round of 16.

Since the game, Alonso’s situation has gotten worse as Real Madrid announced that their top striker Kylian Mbappe was hospitalized due to “an acute case of gastroenteritis,” most certainly preventing him from playing in their upcoming encounter.

The Real Madrid manager has now been dealt yet another serious setback after learning that he is not permitted to pursue his most recent transfer target.

Alonso has already acquired three big names to his team since he joined Real Madrid in May: Franco Mastantuono of River Plate, former Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, and former Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen.

According to a recent report from Spanish publication Marca, the La Liga team may no longer be fully ready to support their new manager, despite their active involvement in the early days of the transfer market.

The story states that it is evident that Madrid needs a new creative playmaker in their midfield after the draw, and that Alonso is said to have told the board as much upon his arrival.

Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi, who appears to be finalizing a deal to Arsenal, was apparently Alonso’s top priority. However, he was informed that the squad’s midfielders were more than sufficient to meet Alonso’s expectations.

Despite their lackluster performance in their first Club World Cup match, Real Madrid can soon improve their form since players like Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, and Arda Guler can all command their midfield.

It will only be a matter of time until we witness Madrid flourish under their new manager, as other players are anticipated to join in various parts of the field during the summer.
