William Saliba ripped to pieces for errors as Arsenal star ‘has worst match’ for France

While France was having a difficult time, William Saliba made a mistake and gave away a penalty, which resulted in his teammate being sent off. Despite this, France was able to defeat Belgium in the Nations League.

After having a rare off night at the center of defense while playing for France, William Saliba was subjected to significant criticism.

Alongside Ibrahima Konate of Liverpool, the center-back for Arsenal lined up in defense for Les Blues. However, despite his country’s victory over Belgium, he was unable to maintain the strong early season form he had been showing. The blunders committed by Saliba also placed France in a position where they needed to find a winner in their Nations League match.

A penalty was awarded to the 23-year-old player for a foul committed on Lois Openda; however, Youri Tielemans was unable to convert the penalty kick. After that, Openda was able to score for Belgium, bringing them to a tie for the night for the first time. He did this by getting in behind Saliba once more.

Saliba’s forgettable evening was subsequently exacerbated with thirteen minutes remaining when he gave the ball away for a low price. This left Aurelien Tchouameni of Real Madrid with no choice but to foul Tielemans, who was in on goal, and he received a second yellow card as a result of his foul.

Didier Deschamps’ team won by a score of 2-1 thanks to two goals scored by Randal Kolo Muani. Fortunately for the Arsenal player, he was on the winning side of the game. The press in his own country, on the other hand, has been critical of the defense for his performance, which was below average.

Because of this, Foot assigned Saliba a rating of two out of ten, which was the lowest possible score for any player on the field. They wrote, “Penalty, (yellow) card, loss of ball… Fortunately, Openda did not take use of his elastic marking before halftime since he would have felt obligated to score this goal himself. This would have prevented another goal from being scored.

In addition, he was given the same grade by Didocu Sport, which was extremely critical of his performance for his country and referred to it as his worst international performance. They made the following statement: “About his match, there is a lot to say, but not much good.” It is without a doubt that he played his worst match in Blue.He gets shown a yellow card for his performance, which is clearly commendable, and he concedes the penalty for a foul committed on Lois Openda. He leaves behind the same Lois Openda who was responsible for the equalizer for Belgium. And where is he when Aurelien Tchouameni is forced to make a selfless sacrifice and receive a red card… when he is the final defender on the field?

As a result of his perseverance, Saliba has established himself as a regular for his country. He gained a great deal of praise throughout the summer as a result of Les Blues’ ability to keep five clean sheets in a row on their way to the semi-finals of the European Championship. However, they were ultimately defeated by Spain, who went on to win the tournament.
