The Man City player shares the exact things he said to Mikel Arteta following the full-time whistle. “What I told Him was different now the English Media are now twisting it just for Arsenal fans to hate me. How can I face a high profile manager like Him and told Him that?”
Following Manchester City’s draw with Arsenal, Erling Haaland urged Mikel Arteta to “remain humble,” which incited an intense confrontation between him and Gabriel Jesus on the field.
After the full-time whistle, there was a heated altercation between the two strikers. The match itself was an event-filled contest with multiple stoppages, a dismissal for Leandro Trossard, and an injury-time equalizer for Pep Guardiola’s team from John Stones.
However, it came to an unpleasant end when Haaland and Jesus argued, and it is now public knowledge what they said to each other. In recently released video, the Man City player was heard telling Arsenal manager Arteta to “remain humble, stay humble.”
That infuriated Jesus, who then commanded Haaland to come, to which he answered, “What, what, what, what?” “Come, why you saying, you talking?” exclaimed the Arsenal forward.
“Talking about what, I wasn’t talking f******* clown,” Haaland shot out, hoping to defuse the situation before Jesus said, “Don’t touch me.” After that, Haaland snapped, asking, “What are you talking about? ” to end the exchange. You f****** clown, get the f**** away from me.
Then, in an attempt to step in, Arteta beckoned his striker over, calling him “Gabby gabby gabby.” Throughout the game, Haaland got into other collisions in addition to this one.
He seemed to throw the ball at Gabriel Magalhaes’ head as City celebrated Stones’ equalizer, just before his enraged altercation with Jesus. However, the striker from Norway has avoided a ban.
After reviewing the situation, VAR decided not to take any further action, and Haaland will not face charges for violent behavior.
Ian Wright, a former Arsenal player, chastised the striker for his behaviour. He posted on Instagram, saying: “Haaland’s cowardly move was the one thing that really boiled me down.” hurling the ball towards Gabi’s head when he’s not paying attention.
“When Gabi turns to face him. A true act of cowardice. You know, Gabi would look him in the eye. More than anything else, that disturbed me. I believed that you, Haland, were greater than that.
