West Brom confirms massive player blow – it involves £3 million+ man.

Tammer Bany, a West Bromwich Albion forward, will miss the majority of the rest of the season after sustaining another injury.

After a promising start to the season, West Brom have had a terrible few months, with eight consecutive away defeats dropping them out of the play-off places and into the bottom half of the league standings.

However, the Baggies’ home form has remained strong throughout the season, and they had another successful evening at The Hawthorns on Monday night, winning 2-1 over Queens Park Rangers, with goals from George Campbell and Nat Phillips securing a much-needed three points to relieve pressure on head coach Ryan Mason.

Albion are presently 16th in the table, seven points behind the play-off places, and face Swansea City on New Year’s Day before traveling to Leicester City on Monday night as the busy Christmas season continues.

With a busy schedule in January, Mason will want to maintain his team as fit as possible to maximize his possibilities, but he will be without Bany for the most of the season due to his recent injury.

West Brom suffered a further Tammer Bany blow as Baggies’ injury crisis continued.

Bany joined West Brom from Danish club Randers for a sum of around £3.3 million on the final day of the winter transfer window, but it is fair to say that Baggies fans have yet to see the best of him at The Hawthorns.

Bany made only four substitute appearances for Albion in the second half of last season owing to recurring hamstring ailments, and while he had hoped for a fresh start this season, that has not been the case.

Bany missed the first three months of the season after suffering another hamstring injury in the summer. He returned as a late replacement in the Baggies’ 3-1 loss to QPR earlier this month, but he has not appeared for the club since.

The 22-year-old, who made his Jordan national team debut in November, has missed Albion’s previous two matchday squads, and the club has announced that he will be sidelined for an extended length of time.

The Baggies announced on Tuesday that Bany will be out for about four months due to a ruptured thigh sustained in training last week, which means he might miss the remainder of the season, and that he will now have surgery to repair the injury.

Tammer Bany’s unfortunate injury news leaves West Brom with a major summer dilemma.

After impressing in Denmark, Bany appeared to be an exciting signing for West Brom, but his tenure at The Hawthorns has been nothing short of disastrous.

Bany has only made five appearances for the Baggies in nearly a year, and while his injury issues are regrettable, he is in risk of being labeled a major transfer flop, which will be especially irritating for the board given the hefty fee they paid for him.

With Bany out for the rest of the season, Albion are torn between cashing in on the forward in the summer and giving him another chance to prove his fitness next season, but even if they do sell him, they are likely to take a significant loss on the £3.3 million they paid in February.
