Viktor Gyokeres’ true feelings on Premier League transfer emerge after Arsenal take drastic action

Despite Manchester United’s interest, Viktor Gyokeres’ top objective is to sign with Arsenal this summer.

Following Arsenal’s extreme action in the transfer scandal, a new source has revealed Viktor Gyokeres’ genuine sentiments regarding his next move.

Gyokeres’ incredible goal-scoring prowess for Sporting CP over the last two seasons has made him one among the most sought-after players this summer.

Under Ruben Amorim’s guidance, he scored an outstanding 43 goals in his debut season in Portugal before to joining Manchester United.

Gyokeres’ incredible 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions last season alarmed Europe’s top teams, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

However, it seems that Mikel Arteta wants to sign a No. 9 before the 2025–2026 season, therefore the Emirates are the Swede’s favored destination.

However, the Gunners’ pursuit of Gyokeres has taken a severe turn.

It follows Sporting CP president X’s bombshell announcement in which he revealed the club’s price for its most valuable asset.

Nonetheless, Gyokeres is still interested in playing in the Champions League and a transfer to the Premier League.

Arsenal is ‘leading’ the race to sign the 27-year-old, according to a recent report from Portuguese publication Record.

Juventus, who can provide Champions League football, is reportedly also monitoring him, according to Italian reports.

Benjamin Sesko, who has been extensively linked to a move to North London this summer, is also being pursued by Arsenal in addition to Gyokeres.

The 22-year-old Sesko scored 21 goals for RB Leipzig across all competitions the previous season, and Bayern Munich is also interested in him.

Leipzig is poised to move out after failing to qualify for one of UEFA’s three club competitions despite his best efforts.

Arsenal is also considering Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa. During the January transfer window, he was the target of an unsuccessful bid.

Since leaving Brentford, Watkins, an Arsenal supporter, has scored 75 Premier League goals for Villa, making him a prolific scorer in England’s top division.
