Viktor Gyokeres decided not to join Man Utd after seeing Ruben Amorim’s brutal treatment of one Old Trafford player

According to reports, Viktor Gyokeres was not happy with the way Ruben Amorim handled a Manchester United player.

After witnessing Ruben Amorim’s cruel treatment of a player at Old Trafford, Viktor Gyokeres made the decision not to sign with Manchester United.

With his name dominating the rumor mill, Gyokeres has dominated the summer transfer window.

After netting 43 goals in his first season in Portugal’s top division, he scored an outstanding 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting CP last season, which boosted his reputation.

Fans believe that Arsenal gave away something during their kit launch shoot, and they believe that they are in the lead to sign Gyokeres before Manchester United and Juventus.

In an attempt to find a new No. 9 before the 2025–2026 season, the Red Devils expressed interest in signing the 27-year-old.

Ruben Amorim, who coached Gyokeres at Sporting prior to his employment at Manchester United, seems to have been unsuccessful in his attempt to sign him.

Record, a Portuguese publication, claims that Gyokeres was unhappy with Amorim’s treatment of his Swedish colleague Victor Lindelof.

Turkish businessman Hasan Cetinkaya is Gyokeres’ and Lindelof’s agent. The defender is rumored to be interested in staying at Manchester United if the team offers him a new contract.

Since Amorim convinced Lindelof to work for Sporting under the 40-year-old coach, Cetinkaya was reportedly incensed at the way the player was treated.

Despite offers from other Premier League clubs, he decided to join Sporting from Coventry City in the summer of 2023.

Gyokeres, who scored 38 league goals in two seasons during his spectacular tenure in the Championship, was acquired by the Portuguese team from Coventry for over £20 million.

In contrast, Lindelof paid £31 million to join Man United from Benfica in the summer of 2017.

In all competitions, he made 284 appearances. Last season he played 25 games, the fewest games he has played since joining the team.

This summer, Lindelof was fired by Man United after his contract expired.
