Sporting CP player Viktor Gyokeres has expressed his thoughts on his future, saying that returning to the Premier League would be “great revenge.”
In light of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal, Gyokeres is trying to force a move away from Sporting.
In an attempt to make a spectacular return to England after stints with Brighton and Coventry City, he has taken extraordinary measures.
Speaking out about his future, Gyokeres has stated that he will only join a club that “really wants me.”
Having not played in England’s top division, the 27-year-old, who was on the books at Brighton but did not appear in a Premier League match, is also seeking “great revenge.”
“It’s football, you never know,” he told France Football in response to a question about his career’s future move. I’m not considering it; we’ll see what occurs.
“Anything that is meant to happen will happen. Playing for a team that truly wants me is what matters most to me.

Gyokeres went on to say about the Premier League: “It’s one of the biggest leagues in Europe.
“I was unable to play a single match there for a number of years. I would therefore naturally like to do that. The retaliation would be tremendous.
After his outstanding performances for Sporting, the Swedish international has made a name for himself as one of Europe’s top forwards.
After moving from Coventry, he scored 43 goals in his first season in Portugal before scoring an amazing 54 goals in 52 games the previous season.
Gyokeres, who rose to prominence at Coventry, says he is one of the top forwards in the game right now: “I’m definitely one of them.”
“I’m at the same table as them now, though it’s hard to rank me.
“I’m certain I can succeed anywhere based on what I accomplished at Sporting. You have yet to witness Gyokeres at his finest.
