Victor Osimhen responds to Chelsea transfer link ahead of January window

Victor Osimhen has declared his intention to remain at Galatasaray until the conclusion of the season and has disregarded the possibility of a January transfer to Chelsea.

In the final phases of the summer window, Chelsea engaged in preliminary discussions with Napoli regarding the acquisition of the Nigerian international. However, the parties were unable to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan for the season and has scored six goals in eight appearances for the Turkish club.

It is believed that Osimhen included a break clause in his contract with Galatasaray, which would enable him to join a number of prominent European clubs during the January transfer window. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are among the teams that have the ability to activate the clause.

Nevertheless, Osimhen has now explicitly stated that he intends to remain with the team for the duration of the season.

Galatasaray, who are currently three points ahead of Tottenham in the Turkish Super Lig and third in the Europa League ranking, secured a 3-2 victory at home on Thursday evening.

After netting two goals in the first half of the victory over Spurs, Osimhen stated, “I am content to be a Galatasaray player.”

‘I have observed the Galatasaray supporters and the club as a large family since my arrival. The manner in which they have treated my family and me delightfully. It is crucial to be able to provide my utmost effort on the pitch.

“I have observed a significant amount of rumours regarding my departure from the club in January. I can confirm that I will remain in the organisation until the conclusion of the season.”

“I am unaware of the negotiations between Galatasaray and Napoli; however, I would be willing to engage in a conversation with them regarding this club if they approach me.”

“However, I am now in this position, and my attention is on this team and the goal that the club has established. I am committed to giving my all to ensure that we win the league, and if we are able to advance in the Europa League, we will also be able to win it, as we have a strong squad.”

I have been thoroughly appreciating my time in Istanbul thus far; the venue I am currently attending is truly remarkable. I will be present; it is crucial to me that I am currently appreciating my football, as I am making significant contributions to my family, myself, and the club. I am delighted to be present.
