Two Premier League clubs join Man Utd in race to sign Bryan Mbeumo as Ruben Amorim makes demand

After two Premier League teams, including Aston Villa, showed interest in one of Europe’s most sought-after attackers, the competition to recruit Bryan Mbuemo from Brentford has taken a new turn.

According to numerous reports earlier this month, the Cameroon international, who was born in France, had stated that he would rather join Manchester United than other interested teams. The Reds had already begun negotiations with Brentford in an attempt to reach an agreement.

Journalist Duncan Castles claims that after Brentford rejected an initial offer of £45 million with £10 million in add-ons, United has now made a deal worth more than £60 million.

After their first offer was rejected, United was always anticipated to make another one, but other clubs are still interested, and Thomas Frank’s move to Spurs appears to have placed a wrench in the works.

Several elite teams, including Arsenal, have expressed interest in Mbuemo after he scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 38 league outings for the Bees last season.

Although Brentford is determined to get its £70 million asking price met this summer, it now looks like Newcastle United and Aston Villa, two Premier League opponents, may compete with United.

According to The Star, Ruben Amorim is ‘frustrated’ with United’s lack of signings since the season’s conclude.

According to the article, Amorim actually identified several possible targets months ago, but “little has happened” except from Mathues Cunha’s arrival from Wolves.

This summer, which positions does United hope to bolster?
According to the Manchester Evening News, United hopes to add a goalie, a midfielder, and two more forwards this summer.

United wants to sign a prolific center-forward in addition to Mbeumo. Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt is still being linked to Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen.

Christian Eriksen’s contract ends at the end of this month, and a new midfield player could arrive before the 2025–26 season begins.

As previously stated, Altay Bayindir has been linked to a move to Turkish team Besiktas, and United is eager to get a custodian to compete with Andre Onana.
