Tottenham make ‘direct contact’ with manager amid huge update on Ange Postecoglou’s future in shock report

According to reports, Tottenham has discussed Ange Postecoglou’s replacement with a manager.

In response to a shocking report, Tottenham has ‘direct communication’ with a manager over Ange Postecoglou’s replacement.

Last season, Spurs had a terrible domestic campaign, finishing 17th in the Premier League standings under Postecoglou.

They only managed to win 11 league games, earning a pitiful 38 points.

Spurs, however, rescued their season to some extent after winning a significant prize in the Europa League.

They ended their 17-year title drought in the final, defeating Manchester United 1-0.

After leading Spurs to their first trophy since 2008, Postecoglou stated that he had no plans to discuss his future with the team.

During his press conference after the game, he stated, “I understand why it would be difficult for a club like this to buy into one person’s vision,”

“The club and Daniel himself told me, even when I signed, that “we went after winners, it didn’t work, and now we’ve got Ange.” But I’m a winner, buddy.

“Obviously the way things have gone in the league, people are right to be concerned about, but I don’t think that’s a true reflection of where we are at.”

Nevertheless, it seems that Postecoglou’s future is not with Spurs.

Daniel Levy is reportedly about to leave the Australian manager, who was hired in the summer of 2023, according to a report.

The Spurs leadership opted to fire Postecoglou just over a week after he brought home the team’s first title in 17 years, according to sources who spoke to Footballer Insider.

Furthermore, it appears that the club has not left London in their search for a replacement.

Spurs have ‘direct communication’ with Brentford head coach Thomas Frank, according to French publication Foot Mercato.

Frank discussed their idea and summer transfer plans with Spurs, according to the newspaper.

Although he is seen as one of the favorites, the Dane is not the only manager on their shortlist in the event that Postecoglou is fired.

The 51-year-old originally joined Brentford as deputy head coach and has been there since December 2016.

Frank took Dean Smith’s place as head coach in October 2018.

He has done a fantastic job at Brentford, turning the Bees into a Premier League team after leading them to promotion in the 2020–21 campaign after defeating Swansea City in the Championship play-off final.
