Tyson Fury, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo have all been included on the list of the top 100 athletes in the world who earn the most money out of all athletes.
The findings of Sportico’s investigation into the athletes who earn the most money were recently published.
Eight different sports and twenty-seven different countries are represented among the top 100 highest-paid athletes.
According to the report, they made an estimated total income of $6.2 billion in 2024. This figure includes $4.8 billion in prize money and salary, in addition to $1.4 billion in unrelated income that they received off the field, court, course, or track.
There were no women who made it into the top 100, with tennis player Coco Gauff being the highest-paid female athlete with a total of $30.4 million.
The top one hundred athletes in the world who earn the most money
A number of notable athletes, including Steph Curry, Tyson Fury, Lionel Messi, and LeBron James, are followed by Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the list.
With a staggering total of $260 million, Ronaldo, who is 40 years old, had a staggering salary and winnings of $215 million, in addition to an additional $45 million in endorsements.
The Al Nassr superstar has earned more than $100 million more than Curry, who came in second place with a total of $153.8 million in earnings at the end of the season.
Fury, who had two extremely lucrative fights in Saudi Arabia against Oleksandr Usyk in the previous year, comes in at No. 3 with total earnings of $147 million, which is higher than Messi’s earnings of $135 million.
James, a star player in the National Basketball Association, Neymar, a football player, and Usyk, a boxer. They are ranked fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively.
The top ten is rounded out by the golfer Jon Rahm, the French football duo Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe, and two other players.
