October 2: Fans Left Bemused by Eric Dier’s Accent
Eric Dier salvaged a point for Monaco in their Champions League match against Manchester City on Wednesday evening. The Englishman gained and converted a late penalty for the French team, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
Dier, now 31 years old, spoke with TNT Sports after the game, and his accent perplexed viewers. “His accent has deteriorated significantly. What is that all about?” One fan wrote, and another said, “What’s with his accent? Sounds like someone attempting to learn English.”
Another fan added, “Doing his best Joey Barton impression,” and another said, “I love how his accent changes wherever he goes.”

September 7: Florian Wirtz gives Germany a spectacular free kick
Despite having a rough start to the season as a new Liverpool player, Florian Wirtz has shown everyone his elite talent. He cost £116 million. Germany was under pressure to win against Northern Ireland after losing to Slovakia in their last World Cup qualifying match.
With a brilliant free-kick, the Liverpool star put the Irish out of the game. The 22-year-old appeared to put no effort into his attempt, which reached the top corner of the net well outside the penalty area. It appears that Dominik Szoboszlai may have competition at Anfield for set-piece responsibilities.

September 5: Football Match Stopped for Bizarre Reasons
A swarm of bees disrupted a football match in Tanzania this week. At Kwaraa Stadium in Babati, footage showed players from both City FC Abuja and JKU FC swiftly falling to the floor and laying on the ground. Others in the technical area, match officials, and even the camera crew did the same to avoid being stung.
Fans in the stands remained seated despite the pandemonium. According to talkSPORT, local outfit Afrizum suspects the incident was triggered by strange weather patterns throughout the week. However, the bees finally moved on, due in part to the calm thinking of those on the field, and the game continued.

September 1: Arsenal versus Liverpool Clip Highlights What is the difference between Martinelli and Eze?
Arsenal were unable to win anything as they fell 1-0 to rivals Liverpool at Anfield over the weekend. It was a game with little opportunities for either team, but the Gunners could have made a bigger impact in attack if new addition Eberechi Eze had been utilized off the bench sooner.
Mikel Arteta started Gabriel Martinelli, but the Brazilian struggled throughout the day, failing to create any serious opportunities for himself or his teammates. He was substituted by Eze in the 70th minute, with the Englishman seeking for something more exciting.
One clip in particular exemplifies the pair’s confidence gap, as Eze gleefully glided past Dominik Szoboszlai while Martinelli was thwarted by the makeshift right-back.

August 30: Jamie Carragher immediately slams VAR after controversial Chelsea versus Fulham decision.
Chelsea were second best in the first half of their West London derby against Fulham on Saturday, which was highlighted when 18-year-old Josh King waltzed through their defence to open the scoring. Fortunately for the Blues, VAR and referee Rob Jones appeared equally sluggish.
The goal was finally ruled out after Jones checked the pitchside monitor 12 times before deciding that Rodrigo Muniz’s “careless challenge” in the build-up was sufficient to disallow it. It is not the first time VAR has favored Chelsea over a London rival; Crystal Palace experienced a similar fate on the opening weekend.
Some consider it one of the worst VAR interventions yet. Jamie Carragher quickly expressed his displeasure on X, writing: “VAR has had a shocking start to the season.” It’s difficult to disagree with the former Liverpool defender; what was Muniz meant to do with his foot in such situation?

David de Gea’s Response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s New Contract Goes Viral on June 26th
He was powerless to stop himself.
After concerns over his future, Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he will stay with Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, until 2027. One of his former Manchester United colleagues couldn’t resist making a little jab on X when he announced his new contract in the Middle East.
After Ronaldo posted on X (previously Twitter), David de Gea, who shared a locker room with him during his second tenure at Old Trafford, responded quickly. “And playing for free,” the Spanish goalie retorted, making light of his former teammate, who is regarded as the highest-paid player in international football.
26 June: The Cause of Kerkez’s Odd Liverpool Declaration
The defender saw an exercise while wearing goggles.
When Milos Kerkez was formally revealed as Liverpool’s newest summer acquisition, supporters were perplexed as to why he was gazing at a drill while wearing goggles. And the defender himself has disclosed the reason for his unconventional unveiling.
A Liverpool social media staffer gave him a photo of himself and his countryman Dominik Szoboszlai with goggles and Kerkez carrying a drill as part of his announcement, and asked him to sign it. He laughed and complied.
The 21-year-old Hungarian responded, “We just had a day off and went with his friends to the village and just enjoyed the day over there,” when asked where the picture of the fellow countymen came from. Yes, as you can see, we simply fooled around for a little while.

With a 10-0 victory over semi-pro Auckland City of New Zealand, Bayern Munich got off to the most impressive start to their Club World Cup campaign. In addition to Jamal Musiala’s hat-trick and Sacha Boey’s name on the score sheet, Michael Olise, Kingsley Coman, and Thomas Muller each scored a brace.
Bayern was always expected to defeat their Kiwi opponents, so it was not surprise that they were completely thrashed. But Olise didn’t express any pity or compassion when he spoke after the match.
When asked if he felt sorry for the Auckland players, he smirked and gave a ruthless one-word response that went viral: “No.”

On June 9, a young person shook Cristiano Ronaldo’s hand without looking at him, accusing Lamine Yamal of “disrespecting” him.
‘Disrespecting’ Cristiano Ronaldo has been the charge against Lamine Yamal following Sunday’s Nations League final, in which Portugal defeated Spain on penalties. The 17-year-old has already faced backlash on social media for leaving before Spain’s players raised the Nations League trophy. He is presently the second-favorite to win the Ballon d’Or award after an incredible season with Barcelona.
Another video of Lamine Yamal turning his head away while shaking hands with Ronaldo has gone viral on social media. Ronaldo has subsequently made a prediction about the young player’s future in the game. On X, one fan said, “Arrogant and unprofessional,” while another said, “Such a sore loser”. “This is becoming excessive,” remarked a third. What the devil is this behavior?
However, it should be mentioned that Lamine Yamal is still rather young. It’s easy to forget that this young man is only 18 in July because of how good he is. It is inevitable that he may occasionally make a mistake.

The destiny of Viktor Gyokeres appears to be one of the major transfer mysteries that will be resolved this summer. Numerous major teams have expressed interest in the Sporting CP striker after he has scored goal after goal in Portugal.

But when Ostigard said: “It was nice to speak with you, Victor. When everything is signed and resolved at Arsenal, send me a text. In revealing response, Gyokeres said, “Yeah, yeah, sure!”

25th May: Emi Martinez gets sent off for a moment of madness.
The Villa keeper lost his mind against Manchester United.

In what could be his final game as an Aston Villa player, Emi Martinez lost his cool and was sent off in the first half of the club’s encounter against Manchester United. The custodian has been linked with a transfer away from Villa Park this summer, and it appeared that he would finish the season and possibly his time with Villa as a hero. He was in excellent form against the Red Devils early on, making several saves to keep his team in the game, but shortly before halftime, he was issued a red card for an unbelievable moment of lunacy.
After a terrible Matty Cash back ball put Rasmus Hojlund one-on-one with the keeper, the Argentine raced out of his area and blasted directly into the forward, knocking him to the ground. It was a certain dismissal, and the referees lost no time in giving him the red card.
The incident might also cost Unai Emery’s side a place in the Champions League, since the club needs a win to qualify. If that is how his Villa career finishes, it will be a terrible finale to an impressive stint.

Football is a game that never sleeps. Somewhere in the world, someone is engaged in some aspect of the beautiful game during each of the 86400 seconds that make up a 24-hour day. This might be anything from booting a ball against a wall with friends to sharing their expert analysis on social media or winning a high-profile match at the last minute.
Since no human can possibly keep up with everything that happens during a game, football is often made great by the small but fascinating moments, such as a fan’s alternate perspective on a penalty save, a three-second but incredibly telling exchange between two bitter rivals, or a thread on X that explains why N’Golo Kante is the nicest man in professional sports.
In order to address that issue, GIVEMESPORT developed our live blog, which offers the best social media features available along with the best football mini-stories from the previous day.
On May 24, David Beckham responds on Instagram to Nottingham Forest’s decision to ban Gary Neville, a Manchester United great.

After Nottingham Forest barred Gary Neville, a former Manchester United teammate, from the City Ground this past weekend, David Beckham responded. Neville said on Friday that Forest had denied him “accreditation or access to the stadium as a co-commentator,” leaving him with “no choice” except to leave Sky Sports’ coverage of the game.
The former Manchester United player asked, “You allowed in or has he [Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis] banned you?” after Neville’s Sky Sports colleague Jamie Carragher responded with a string of laughing emojis on Instagram. “Must have been something to do with that 7-1 game back in the day,” said Beckham, Neville’s best buddy, in the comments section of his Instagram photo.

22 May: Following the viral videos of the Europa League final, Tottenham players get ready for the Champions League dressing room scenes.
Following their victory over Manchester United in Wednesday night’s Europa League final, Tottenham’s players posted a humorous video to social media, which went viral. Even though Spurs are now ranked 17th in the Premier League standings, the win guarantees them a spot in the Champions League next season.
Some Spurs players recorded themselves in the changing room feigning to form a queue as the iconic Champions League anthem played in advance of the team’s return to Europe’s top club competition. Bravo to Archie Grey for paying homage to the iconic Ronaldinho meme by licking his lips. One fan posted on X (Twitter) that the team was the least serious. “I can’t stop laughing seeing this,” another person said. “United, what have you done?” a third person added.

On social media, the Egyptian King was outspoken.
During his second season at Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou has had to endure some terrible moments as the north London team’s Premier League performance has plummeted. Nevertheless, the Australian overcame all obstacles to fulfil his pledge to bring trophy to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs defeated Manchester United in the Europa League final, and a goal from Brennan Johnson gave them their first trophy in over 17 years. Recalling Postecoglou’s assertion that he consistently performs well in his second season, Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah was eager to send his appreciation to the Tottenham manager.

The Dutchman and the full-back will contend for a starting position in the upcoming campaign.
After seeing what the players did after equalising against Newcastle United, Arsenal supporters have made jokes about them being the “most chronically online team.” In the 84th minute, Mikel Merino headed in to make it 1-1, but the celebrations were short-lived as the ball was swiftly seized and returned to the centre circle.
The Gunners benefited from this as Gabriel scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute. But the images were in stark contrast to the previous week’s match against Manchester City.
Gabriel Martinelli also scored a late equaliser in the match, however a lot of internet fans condemned Arsenal for celebrating too much rather than using the ball to drive for a victory. The entire team was eager to resume play against the Magpies as quickly as possible after presumably seeing the comments.
One fan commented, “We’re the most chronically online team I swear,” after noticing this. One more person said, “They saw the tweets.”
Another participant stated: “Declan [Rice] definitely showed them tweets before the game.” Accordingly, someone else said: “Rice definitely saw the tweets.”
A fifth came to the conclusion: “I guess we have the mindset now. Now, the experts and media should be pleased.

May 8: David De Gea Gives Up a Magnificent Free-Kick to Antony
The Brazilian scored an amazing long-range goal to defeat his former teammate.
With a spectacular free kick past former Manchester United teammate David de Gea to put his team ahead in the second leg of their Conference League semi-final matchup against Fiorentina, Antony’s miraculous comeback at Real Betis reached a new peak.
Betis won the first leg at home 2-1, and the Brazilian was on the scoresheet. However, he had an even more spectacular moment of magic in the away match. With the aid of the inside of the post, the winger, who had stepped up to a free-kick from a distance of twenty-five yards out, curled the dead ball around the wall and beyond the extended Spaniard in goal to give his team a larger aggregate advantage.
It’s perhaps Antony’s best goal since joining the Seville-based team on loan, even though Fiorentina managed to alter the tide of the match and tie the score by leading 2-1 at halftime.
On May 8, Man United supporters asked Ruben Amorim to sign two important players.
The manager’s response was instructive.

FA Disallows Transgender Women in Women’s Football on May 1st
The FA issued a statement.

The Football Association has declared that transgender women would no longer be permitted to play women’s football in England as of June 1. Only those who are biologically female will be allowed to play, the FA said in a statement.
“As the national sport’s governing organization, it is our responsibility to ensure that football is available to as many people as possible while adhering to the worldwide football policy established by FIFA and UEFA. This idea served as the foundation for our present policy, which permits transgender women to play women’s sports and is backed by knowledgeable legal counsel.
“This is a complicated topic, and we have always maintained that we would evaluate and amend the policy if necessary if there were a significant change in the law, science, or how grassroots football operates.
“We will be altering our policy in light of the Supreme Court’s decision on April 16. Beginning on June 1, 2025, transgender women will no longer be permitted to participate in women’s football in England.
“We understand that this will be difficult for people who simply want to play the game they love in the gender by which they identify, and we are contacting the registered transgender women currently playing to explain the changes and how they can continue to stay involved in the game.”

April 19: Man Utd Supporters’ Claim Rayan Cherki as New Video Surfaces
After scoring, a Lyon player seemed to make a nasty gesture.
Rayan Cherki, a possible summer transfer target for Manchester United, has lost some of his admirers after video surfaced of the Lyon player making a nasty gesture after scoring a goal in Thursday night’s thrilling Europa League match at Old Trafford. In extra time, Lyon’s third goal of the evening at Old Trafford came from Cherki, a 21-year-old who is currently regarded as one of the best young players in international football.
The talented France Under-21 player can be seen holding his crotch in a video that has been circulated on social media. It goes without saying that many United supporters are not impressed. “Not the sort of behaviour someone keen to join your club in the summer would be doing,” one person remarked on X (previously Twitter), while another said, “Wow, it seems he doesn’t want to join United.” “This is why I’ve always doubted his attitude and discipline,” remarked a third. It makes sense why PSG never showed interest in him. “I truly wanted him at my club, but from now on I am his hater,” a fourth person said.

April 16: Dani Carvajal and Bukayo Saka Get into an Argument
At halftime, the pair had to split.
During halftime of Los Blancos’ Champions League match against Arsenal, injured Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal was seen fighting with Bukayo Saka.
Because of their easy victory in the first leg at the Emirates, the Gunners were ahead 3-0 at that point. Early on, they had the opportunity to increase the score to 4-0, but Saka missed his penalty.
At halftime, while both teams were making their way to the tunnel, Carvajal seemed to grasp Saka by the back of the neck, possibly in an attempt to get inside the Englishman’s head. The two had to be separated because the Arsenal star was obviously unhappy.
April 16: Panenka vs. Real Madrid is missed by Bukayo Saka
Commentators weren’t impressed.
Arsenal had a lead to defend going into the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match against Spain. The Gunners had defeated Real Madrid 3-0 at home, but they knew it would be difficult given Los Blancos’ record in the league.
Bukay Saka chose to bravely chip a Panenka penalty at the Real Madrid goal, denying Arsenal the chance to end their Champions League match. Thibaut Courtois made a straightforward save after making the correct assumption.
TNT Sports’ Darren Fletcher’s statement, “Surely not the time or place for a penalty like that!” did not impress the pundits. Ally McCoist went on to say, “I find it hard to believe.” Rio Ferdinand, however, was equally important.

As Aston Villa tried to rally against PSG, Marcus Rashford delivered the goods, setting up Ezri Konsa for his team’s third goal of the match with an amazing assist. Unai Emery’s team was already behind two goals going into the match, but things became even more difficult as PSG scored two goals early on to increase the final score to 5-1. Rashford was the centre of attention, but Villa wasn’t going down easily. After Youri Tielemans and John McGinn gave them hope, Konsa got them within one goal of tying the score against the Ligue 1 winners.
After the restart, the Englishman, who had been struggling up front in the first half, came alive. He picked up the ball on the right wing, danced past two PSG defenders into the box, and then drew the ball back to Konsa, who hammered it home. The Manchester United loanee’s performance was outstanding.
April 15th: Micah Richards’s Statement He’s ‘Banned’ from Villa Park. Let’s go on.
Most of the UK loves Micah Richards as a pundit. But according to the retiring right-back, Aston Villa supporters don’t like him. Richards was questioned about why he was at the CBS Sports studio instead of Villa Park before of the Villans’ crucial Champions League matchup against Paris Saint-Germain. His reply was succinct and to the point:
“I’m not allowed in that stadium. There, I’m disliked by the supporters.
“I played for Villa for one year and was a complete failure. I was there for four years. Let’s make a move.

What Thierry Henry Told Kylian Mbappe Prior to Arsenal vs. Real Madrid on April 8th
On Tuesday night, the club great was very clear about who he wanted to defeat.
Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe, his French replacement, obviously get along well, but he made no secret of his allegiances before Tuesday night’s match. The legendary former Barcelona and Arsenal player, who currently commentates for CBS Sports, disclosed exactly what he said to the Real Madrid forward: “I don’t wish anything bad on him, but tonight I said to him: ‘Please, I don’t want to see you’.”
Despite their illustrious lack of Champions League victories, the Gunners’ victory over the current champions and 15-time Kings of Europe in this year’s quarterfinal would be a significant step towards demonstrating their ability under Mikel Arteta. They urgently need to play well in the top competition on the continent because they are already out from the FA Cup and appear to be out of the running for the Premier League crown. Without a doubt, they would adore having Henry in their starting lineup this evening.
7th April: Phil Foden’s Reaction to Man Utd Fans’ Chants
New footage from the stands has emerged

During Sunday’s Manchester derby, footage of Phil Foden’s response to contentious shouts from Manchester United supporters has surfaced. The United supporters who were behind the shout, according to Man City manager Pep Guardiola, shown a “lack of class”. The esteemed Catalan coach went on: “You know, it’s the people, not United. In world football, we are all so visible on the screen—managers, owners, and football players in particular. To be honest, I have no idea what the people involved with Phil’s mother are thinking. They ought to be embarrassed since they lack moral character and class.
Foden responded to the chants aimed at him with a number of gestures, including giving the crowd the thumbs up. After a lacklustre performance, the England international was replaced by Jeremy Doku in the 57th minute.
